TO THE PIOUS MEN AND WOMEN OF SAVOY, FOREIGNERS AND WHOMEVER THIS MAY CONCERN,

 

As a new day dawns, new beginnings emerge. As the old day sets, so do practices of old. Yet, today we celebrate the beginning of a new day, the beginning of a new chapter, and a new Barony.

 

After years of effort and hard work by many architects and builders, it pleases the Noble House of Barclay to announce that the first castle of Freimark has been constructed. Now standing tall atop the north-western hill by the city of San Luciano, the burg shall serve as a house for both Barclays, the residents of Freimark, and the army of the Sons of Saint Tylos, until the Baronial lands expand.

 

As such, by the Baron’s decree, shall the fort be dubbed the Castle of Neuberg. Thus, signifying NEW beginnings, shall the castle take such name, and may GOTT bless it in the times to come. Furthermore, would the Baron of Freimark humbly invite all to attend the Inauguration of the Barony.

THE BLESSING OF NEUBERG

All were created by GOTT, and all are allowed to be created by GOTT. Thus is also the occasion with the construction of Neuberg, for it was by GOTT’s will that it was allowed to be built, and by GOTT’s will it stands. As such, the Inauguration shall begin with a collective prayer and blessing ceremony held inside the castle, so it may be blessed before the eyes of GOTT.
 

THE BARONIAL COURT - The Baron's Plea

After the Blessing Ceremony, court will be held inside the throne room of Neuberg, where Baron Ernst shall address his subjects and those guests of Freimark. Furthermore, the holding of the Baronial Court shall serve as a way for the Baron’s nightmare-related plea to be addressed by and and all individuals who wish to aid.

 

 

 

THE FIRST JOUST OF SAINT TYLOS

As per Reinmaren tradition, a jousting tournament shall be in place. It shall be the first of many tournaments to be held within the lands of Freimark, and its winner shall be dubbed the Kavalier von Freimark as a honorary title to their great equestrian skills. All are encouraged to enter the tournament, especially the subjects of Freimark, so that they may show their equestrian worth.
 

THE FEAST OF FREIMARK

Finally, the revelry shall end with a fest held within the castle’s walls. Food and drinks shall be served, music will be played, and all shall be invited to attend the joyous occasion. In order to conclude the Inauguration, a final prayer will be held, and the event shall come to an end.

Nikita looked at the wording of the missive then looked at herself. A mischievous grin curling on her lips. “Nu where in here does it say a woman can neit join? Oh how fun! Maybe I shall show Lady Roberta and we both can join!”   Moving to her trunk she had since left forgotten from Dobrov, swinging it open. the jumble pieces of armour and velvet and silk lay across in a mess. Her  hand fishing out the helment she used to wear for lessons.  It’s blue and gold feather floofing out  “Oh how the war on the badlands seems distant now. Best put this back to use.”

Joseph Brandt wrote a sincere letter of congratulations to his Lieutenant turned Lord, jokingly demoting him from the rank of Lieutenant and promoting him to the rank of noble, but assuring him that he would nonetheless have command by noble authority of the Esheveurd Brigade in matters of state, such that those wishes did not interfere with the will of the Prince or other Brigade officers as before, as was the entitlement of any Lord.

Ernst Barclay smiles at the sent letter, chuckling a bit as he read through its contents. The next time he'd make to see the Lord Marshal, he'd give him a pat on the shoulder, thanking him for the letter, and then offering to buy him a drink as he once promised during the bandit jester's flogging.
