Issued by decree of His Lordship

On the 5th of the Grand Harvest of the 49th year of the Second Age

PREAMBULO

With the formation of the Barony of Arenisca, the defense of the new territory is paramount in order to protect the de Pelear family and all Hyspians who reside within Areniscan lands. Therefore, it is the wish of The Right Honorable Javier de Pelear to issue a decree which shall henceforth provide Arenisca with an armed force capable of defending itself and aiding its allies. By decree of His Lordship, the Barony of Arenisca does hereby form the Areniscan Defense Army, which shall serve at the will of the Baron of Arenisca.

RANKS OF THE ADA

For the necessity of establishing a chain of command, the Baron of Arenisca does hereby establish the following ranks within the newly established Areniscan Defense Army.

 

Capitán de Arenisca

The Captain of Arenisca serves as the head of the Areniscan Defense Army, and is second only to the Hand of the Baron in militaristic affairs. They are responsible for organizing regular trainings, overseeing the promotion of troops, and organizing escorts for important Areniscan figures.

 

Hombre de Armas

The Man at Arms is a rank given to veterans of the Army. Those who have served for many years and who are seasoned warriors with many conflicts under their belt are given the rank of Man at Arms. They are not responsible for organizing events for the Army, however they have the privilege of recruiting for the Army and setting an example for the lower ranks.

 

Soldado jurado

Sworn Soldiers make up the bulk of the Areniscan Defense Army. They serve on the front lines and are expected to hold their loyalty to Arenisca and its ruling Baron, and thus are expected to swear an oath to the Baron prior to recieving their rank.

 

Recluta

Recruits are the starting soldiers within the Army. They hold no special privileges nor have they sworn their oath to Arenisca, and as a result a Recruit is not a permanent member. A Recruit is expected to undergo a handful of trainings before they can be considered for a promotion to Sworn Soldier.
