18th Horrens Calling

The year of our lord 1849

“Who ever controls the oceans, controls the world”

 Introduction

The Imperial Navy, A long forgotten part of the army, was and Is the most unique specialization in the world, whether you like it or not it is undeniable that an empire can not be an empire without a navy. And so It is, upon this day, of our lord and Imperial majesty, With the authorization of The General of the Imperial state army, Lord Erik Var Ruthern, and Authorization of the 1st Brigade Captain Vladrick Var Ruthern, And the Support of Her Imperial Majesty; It is that we set sail, and restore the Imperial Navy under the 1st brigade and the Imperial Flag, as a Sailor, for all who join our ranks.

Under the Sailor specialization, (which includes ships types) Are the ship specialization, and sailor training.

Imperial Sailors: Upon these ships are the Sailors, Soldiers, who sail for the name of The Empire. They work in these ships, keeping them operational for all kinds of missions that are assigned to the Navy. Sailors' jobs are rigorous and painful, as the ship decks are cramped and not fit for comfort, however their training suits them for this environment. They are also who control the maintenance of the ship along with support.

Gunners: These are a equal sailor, however, they are specialized to manning the cannons, loading them and firing them alongside one sailor, these men know how far, how low or how high they need to aim infoward to demolish their target, they are also the shooters on the top deck upon the boarding process as they take arms and unload a leash of arrows into the enemies top deck, they handle all kinds of artillery and explosives as well.

Ship-Quartermasters: Quartermasters are the management of supplies, they work hand in hand with the brigades quartermaster, as they also make sure we do not run out of supplies in fights, and allow for a longer battle, and a winning battle with enough supplies and ammo to return home with, they are also the ships second in command as they are allowed to shout orders and take the helm if necessary. They are also the map readers, as they direct the ships direction & course.

Ship-Captain: This Station is left to the one that takes the helm, the captain of the ship, this is an important role as it does not out rank the actual ranks of the ISA, as it's in the name. The ship captain shouts all orders and denies all orders, controls the ship and leads the course along with the quartermaster who maps  things for the ship and her crew. As a captain it is their duty to maintain the moral and efficiency of his, hers or their crew as it also depends on them to keep the ship afloat.

Ship Classes: Where there is a navy, there are ships and many varieties of ships, in some cases there are small ships, made for fast travel. There are big ships made for heavier combat and longer expeditions. Some big ships are made for royal voyages and or escorts, or even treasure fleets. All in all these many classes are normal to be seen across the Imperial shores and they are but many. Here are some of the classes:

  • Schirmer Class: Small and Extremely fast, No armor; the schooner is not made for combat, yet is fitted for fast travel and quick get away from warships, its also very weak, compared to its counterpart. The Schirmer, would be armed with 2 cannons and one sail, (height 10 feet high)these ships will be manned by civilian privateers and State army navy Sailors (manned by 5 players)

  • Schooner class: Fast and Light armor the schooner is made mainly for speed strikes, to make fast and less accurate hits than the Frigate class, it is made for small hold up and or destructions or distractions. However is incapable of a full scale battle unless manned by and driven by a good captain, these classes are made for fast ship escorts and or trading, its combat capability exceeds the schimer by ten fold (Manned by 6 players)

  • The Galleon Class: Medium speed and armor, this is the basic class of any ship type, these are usually sent in long voyages, alongside a frigate or man of war or a voyager, these ships are armed to the top shape, with the most decent weapons the army has to give to them, they are entrusted to charge first with their rams, as they are also made to board vessels and capture all who are the aggressors, that or decimate their foes and claim victory on the defensive.  (manned by 6 players)

  • Frigate class: Medium armor, low speed, But double the guns. This is made for both voyage or Great operations, as it could be built with a ram, but with the low speed that it already gains these rams are not warranted. The Frigate is made to transfer important artifacts with great speed and armor as its wooden walls are slightly covered with thick maple wood, its guns hold about 20 on each side, and two on the front.

  • Man of war class ship: the jewel ship class, favored by many aristocrats for its armor and great intimidating looks, as it stands with about 20-49 guns, on each side, 4 decks and a crew of a vassal. However it be its the biggest and strong ship in the arsenal recorded in Imperial history. These are for all containing Extremely low speed for its weakness but its armor is almost impenetrable, being built completely out of maple ice wood, as it stands about ten-meters tall, This class ship is a basic mobile fortress, and a very expensive one, made to fight the biggest battles in the sea.

From the reaches of the seven skies, a bygone Countess weeps as her family's legacy is paved over in an improper fashion.

"Not even a mention of my ancestors names." She'd scoff.
