PENNED ON THIS DAY 11TH OF TOV AG YERMEY, 416 E.S. VA VE EDLERVIK, It pleases the Ducal House of Baruch to announce the Lifstala debut of Lady Isabel Alexandra, the heir to the Duchy. As such, the Lady is to be presented before her peers and potential suitors, donning only the finest garbs befitting of this oceanic and lavish event. Coinciding with the theme, all guests in attendance are expected to adorn themselves with various shades of blue to pay homage to both Lady Isabel’s love of the ocean and her sea-faring ancestors. Similarly, guests will be encouraged to indulge in famed Ayrian dishes reflecting this oceanic theme throughout the evening. Only the finest fish, whale blubber, and clams from the depths of Lake Voron are to be served at the request of the debuting Lady. The evening’s activities ensuing after the feast, as per a specialised itinerary, are as follows: BEQUEATHMENT OF THE WREATH The first of many festivities to occur during the evening of Lady Isabel’s debut is the bequeathment of the flower wreath. Following a heartfelt speech made by the parents of the debutante, a wreath of flowers is to be presented and subsequently bequeathed. Bestowed upon Isabel by her mother is a selection of blooms that represent the virtues and qualities that she wishes to uphold as she comes of age: gladioli to represent Isabel’s determination to succeed, orchids to symbolise her innocence and pure heart, peonies to represent her desire for prosperity, and alliums to symbolise her resilience. THE EVE’S WALTZ Succeeding the bequeathment of the wreath is an evening of dance. Firstly, guests will be permitted to dance as Isabel begins the waltz with her father. Following such, suitors are encouraged to ask the debuting Lady for a dance if they so desire. BESTOWMENT OF GIFTS Thereafter, guests will be directed to the dais upon which Lady Isabel will collect any gifts presented to her. Gifts are not required for attendance, though they are most certainly encouraged, as it displays a show of goodwill and well-wishes for the debuting Lady’s future endeavours. PRESENTATION OF THE MARINE EXHIBIT Finally, guests will be directed to the newly constructed marine exhibits within the keep, in which a grand, thrilling presentation will take place. The finest of Lake Voron’s aquatic life will be displayed for all attendees to bear witness to, presented by the Duchess of Valwyck, Princess Anastasya. At the conclusion of the presentation, guests will be directed back to the dancefloor for a continuation and eventual conclusion of the waltz to end the evening on a cordial note.
