Young and flightless, whose wings barely flutter.
Little Dove... Are you scared?
Take in a deep breath, I know you're afraid.
But in this moment you are safe, with me right beside you.

Never give up, little dove.

How do you teach a child to not be frightened? As thunder and lightning clash upon little ears.

How can one explain the beauty in the chaos?

Words cannot fully console a baby who is left in tears.

Never be frightful of the unknown, little dove.

With wings outstretched, feel the wind grace your feathers little dove,

Feel it guide you as does a compass guide travelers throughout the lands that surround you -

Feel it push you forward and upwards. Soaring to new heights, never looking down again.

For in such a world we cannot afford to fall. To succumb to the powers of others praying upon our downfall.

Never stop believing in oneself, little dove.

Can you feel it? It feels just like magic when you’re in the air,

Soaring above cities, feeling weightless as you pass through the clouds.

We are safe now little dove. But only when we stop letting fear take hold of us.

Only when we start believing can the magic truly be revealed.

The magic is within you little dove, that feeling - of belonging, that sense of wonder and curiosity is what makes man a man. It is what makes life worth living.

You are alive now little dove, so enjoy it..

Dante coughs a little upon reading this line, blinking rapidly.

That feels.. strangely threatening..

Borris Iver Kortrevich relaxed back in his chair as he read the poem. He bobbed his head and smiled softly before setting the paper down on the desk before him. “So Oren does have poets… interesting.”

Hannes finished reading the poem, a slight sense of familiarity creeping up on him as he pondered its meaning.

A smaller de Vilain would pick up the piece of paper. Reading over it quietly, she had the faintest hint of why her sister wrote it. A warm smile spread over her face as she rubbed a few recent tears away.

"Thank you Heidi."
