AN INAUGURAL FETE

The revelries of Palati Rozas, c. 1869

As northern winds blew towards the south, so did we. Our tribe, the Remnants Imperialists marched towards the promised land, where few have dared to dwell. Our tents were assembled and palisades erected thereafter, we had to endure the harshness of the arid desert as a fact of our undying loyalty to GOD and his trial bestowed upon us. The faith kept us unified and diligently we constructed our holy city of Atrus. Yet, let that indulge none in pride, for we have just made a step onto our destined path.

 

The merriments of Godfrey’s Triumph are to commence, where all of the populace are to cater to the mortal joys. Après dawns of such affairs on the final day of the blessed month, each and every is cordially invited to rejoice in a feast hosted by her Highness, the Princess of Alstion on the Grand Duke’s behalf. The tables shall be adorned with exotic dishes of remote origins, wines worth their utmost prices and atmosphere unseen before.

THE AMENITIES

As the guests seat themselves, the event shall be opened by an address from the Princess of Alstion and any who wish to do so. Thereafter, all shall rise and join together in prayer in gratitude for GOD’s helping hand to us, the Balians. Proceedingly, the invitants shall return to their seats and await the arrival of the garçons.

THE SERVING

A line of servants shall march towards the tables setting the silverware, bizarro dishes and subtle wine. Non resources shall be spared for the revelry and those present shall not depart with empty stomachs or thirsty.

THE FEASTING

Those present shall indulge in dining, drinking and conversing to their peers in jubilitation of the recent accomplishments. Thereafter, those who seek may extend invitations to their ladies for a dance.
