Jerovitz Poetry Slam - Double Take

Once upon a time, Jerovitz held a poetry contest to commemorate the few works of Borris Iver Kortrevich and to push for more poetry from the community of Haense. Nearly 12 years later, Sir Borris has still been releasing his poetry in full to the people of Haense. As both a celebration of his 15 or so years of work, as well as his induction into the Order of Queen Maya and the Lily, Jerovitz wishes to once again host a time where the people can gather and share their own works with each other.

I. CONTEST

With renovations to Jerovitz well underway, we would like to invite all of our guests to the gardens of the keep. There, we shall have each participant choose one or two works which they like the most. A panel of judges will be constructed to nominate a winner at the end of the event. Each piece will be scored based on the creativity, structure, and overall artistic value of the piece.

 

First place winner shall receive a sum of 150 mina, the second, a sum of 100 mina, and third, a sum of 50 mina. 

II. PUBLICATION

Regardless of one’s placement, all the judges recognize that each poem is a work of art that should be celebrated. That is why each piece, if its owner wishes, will be collected at the end of the event and woven into a volume. This volume shall be published to the people of Haense.
