Many days have passed since the felling of the Great Knightly wall known as Ser Walton and the saddening news that Lady Johanna Barclay also passed. Both these people served the crown dutifully over their lifetimes in different aspects.

 

Ser Walton had been serving the Royal crown since King Sigismund III. The Knight strove to honor his calling and protect the royal family at any cost, even if it meant giving up his own life. While a Knight has to do such things, there was a fervor inside Ser Walton that no other Knight carried. He was the ideal soldier and guardian. His death shall leave a large hole within the Kingdom and the Order of the Crows.

 

Lady Barclay was born in 403 E.S. and served not only as a strong duchess to the Barclay household but also as the Lady Palatine for many formidable years. Under her administration, the Kingdom saw significant changes in its inner workings. She sought to revitalize the systems in which the Kingdom finds its legs, one of the large ones being her own office, where she scrapped unnecessary positions and refitted them with new, vital ones.

 

Both died in service to their country, so it is tradition to send them off in a pillar of fire and smoke. A funeral service shall commence at St. Henrik’s Basilica and be followed by the lighting of the pyre.
