The Royal Wedding of the Grand Prince

His Serene Highness, Prince Georg Barbanov and Her Excellency, Lady Esfir Kortrevich

 

It is a glorious day as our beloved Prince, His Serene Highness, Georg Barbanov has finally married his long time friend and courtier, Lady Esfier Kortrevich. The ceremony was held in Saint Henrik's Basilica, which was completely lit up and decorated for the event. There were visitors from all throughout the kingdom, and across the whole of Almaris who sought to attend the wedding. Following the festivities, grand feasts and tournaments were held celebrating the faithful union of the two. 

 

We issue congratulations to the newly weds, and look forward in great hope to the fateful days when Prince Georg and Princess Esfir shall take up their spot upon the throne!

Death of the Pretender Prince!

 

The Inferi bastards marched on our city gates with their hordes of malfame shooting beasts! Yet even with their giants and apes, their imps and armies, could they pierce through our defenses. Despite a slight break in our walls, and the palace being used as their ape’s jungle-gym, they were no match for the brutality of our axes, arrows, cannons, and swords. By the end of the conflict, it came down to a one on one between the True King of Ruska, and the Pretender Prince. Slashes were stuck, blows were sustained, yet King Karl III held strong in his stance. Eventually, the King plunged his crusade sword deep into the Pretender Prince, which effectively killed him. As they both fell, one exhausted and bloodied, with broken hand and ribs, the other, dead, the battle ended. The Inferi horde was gone, defeated… and their leader was slain.

End of The Living Cloudbreaker 

& Beginning of New Threats

 

Cloudbreaker, the fearsome dragon that terrorized the Haeseni Skies has been killed. While that may be something to rejoice about in thought, the terrible drake was not killed by any descendant blade, but rather by being killed and swallowed by a giant wyrm. This Wyrm, which resided within the Attenlund Swamps of Hansen's Eastern border, is said to be controlled by Iblees, which, if the myths are to be believed, has taken the form of a massive, looming tree. Those who first discovered this monstrosity have since referred to the tree as Treeblees, or Ibtrees,It is warned to citizens to keep out of the Attunlund swamps until this wyrm is dealt with and this tree cut down.

The Hyspian Herald & The Kvaz Khronicle

 

The news is plentiful as two separate publications have since been released to the Haense’s people, in addition to the Palatial Post! The Hyspian Herald has been published Yearly and summarizes the major events that are happening in Hyspia and to it’s people!!The Kvaz Khronicle, a fairly new publication, hits all different events that happen with Haense. It is complete with testimonials and interviews from citizens.

Second-in-Command

Lady Johanna Klaudia Barclay (401- 454 E.S.)

 

Lady Barclay was born in 403 E.S. and served not only as a strong duchess to the Barclay household but also as the Lady Palatine for many formidable years. Under her administration, the Kingdom saw significant changes in its inner workings. She sought to revitalize the systems in which the Kingdom finds its legs, one of the large ones being her own office, where she scrapped unnecessary positions and refitted them with new, vital ones.

Updates to Aulic Offices

 

Royal Court Positions

 

As promised a year or two prior with the court restructuring, positions have been reclarified and appointed. After a long interviewing procedure with the Grand Lady, contenders were officially reassigned to available positions, while the most skilled candidates from the pool of applications were appointed to office. Three positions in particular were given out, Master of the Hunt, Court Custodian, and Court Alchemist. These positions were given to Lord Vladrik O’Rouke, Her Highness, Sophia Von Draco, and Firress Esther Die Eiriksdottir, respectively.

UPDATES TO THE NOBILITY

 

NOBLE PROMOTIONS

The Barony of Zvaervauld

 

The House Weiss is a fairly new family, yet its dedication to Haense-Ruska has proved just as great of a resolution as many older families. He showed potential after becoming initiated within the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. Most notable was his contribution to the founding of the Royal Hussar Unit. He went on to lead both in Military roles and in political roles as he was voted in as the tribune for the BSK.  The Weiss Family has also done their job in supporting the Kingdom, working where they can, be it in the fields, or in the courts, or in the military as their father does. They have shown their dedication and have been seen. 

 

Join me in congratulating the Weiss family on ascertaining the title of Peer! May they serve the Kingdom well!

NOBLE UPDATES

Ludovar Retirement

 

Adele Ludovar has been serving as Countess for Ricksburg twenty-eight years. In addition to her leadership role within her own family, Adele Ludovar also worked on sustaining the Office of the Justicar, which actively looks to train more Justicars and detectives so that crime within Haense will conitinue to be nearly nothing. Under the Countess’ reign, she saw the rebuilding of the keep, which had better fortifications and living spaces than that of Otistadt. Adele Ludovar is succeeded by her daughter, Emma Ludovar, the new Countess of Ricksburg.

FROM THE KNIGHTS

 

The Strongest Walls Crumble

 

Ser Walton had been serving the Royal crown since King Sigismund III. The Knight strove to honor his calling and protect the royal family at any cost, even if it meant giving up his own life. While a Knight has to do such things, there was a fervor inside Ser Walton that no other Knight carried. He was the ideal soldier and guardian. His death shall leave a large hole within the Kingdom and the Order of the Crows.

 

Crow’s Watch Towers

 

The Order of the Crow Knights have consistently done their duty, whether it is protection to the Royal Family, tracking down horrid beasts, or dealing with enemy troopers. Therefore, by decision of the King,  a series of fortified towersare to be constructed as rewards for their service. These buildings—towers scattered over Haense—would be used for a variety of tasks, such as siege fortifications and more varied training grounds.

Princess Sofia de Pelear and most certainly not the writer of the Hyspian Herald glanced over the palatial post as it was delivered mid-writing of her own juicy piece. As she glanced it over, she took note of the mentions of two such newsletter and a smile grew, quill dipping into ink and writing an added portion to the piece after her read.
