Kilgrim 361 Share Posted October 13, 2011 *Walking up to the notice board, you notice a recently tacked paper in the front* After the unfortunate death of our last one, the Guildmaster position has seem to become less important. Mebbe it's just me, but I haven't seen the replacement around, if there even is one. We need ta get this fixed, we are proud dwarves and should 'ave our full government represented. As for who should fill this position, I nominate meself. I 'ave studied many old tomes, an' 'ave walked the path of drudic magic, so I so a thing or too about the arcane. Also, it's my personal opinion that we need to get a forest dwarf on council as we are not represented. Of course, I am open to the idea that there might be someone better than me, so I encourage yeh to post who ye think should fill the spot. Yours in Drinkin' Saviticus Treebeard ((Now your idea of being the new Guild Master is all fine and dandy but Skinner aka Belin aka Algrim's son (forget his new char's name right now) Didn't give the position to me. It wasn't his decision to make. It was the Mage Guild's decision. I submitted a well thought out App to Tehlulu aka Lothriel aka Bell. And she approved and therefore I became Guildmaster. But I have no idea what has happened to the Mage guild since I left. I see no one in there TS channel and am No longer in Contact with Tehlulu nor any other Mage Guild Members... Ever since Everard (one of the arch mages also known as High Priest Everard) abused his GM powers and was demoted or something the mage guild went dark. Anyways I am just saying that It's harder than you think to just make a post and say "Hey I am a forest dwarf and there are no reps for the forest dwarves and I am a druid guy, Make me Guild Master now :D." It's not that easy. Plus magic probably wont be out until the new world and probably long after the new world. Anyways, being Guild Master is a Big responsibility and to be in the High council now I am pretty sure you have to use TS and have a mic. The mic part may not be required but probably recomended. Lastly Guild Master technically isn't a High Council position... He just represents the Mage Guild for the dwarves and runs the Scholarly district (also known as the Mage District but since magic isn't out not aloud to call it that..) Also when I was Guild Master I just was supposed to go to the meeting's to inform the Council what was up with the mages, not directly part of the Council but my opinion did matter... Anyways I hope you take this passage seriously and think hard about becoming Guild Master. It not as easy to become one as you think. If you haven't noticed the Mage Guild thread is always at the top of the RP thread. Once people figure it out there will be Quite a few people running for this position (atleast I hope...) It did make sense for Kilgrim to attend the meetings though while the district was being constructed. And appointing a guildmaster is not the Kings job, it is the mages guild.)) I will remain vocal until we get the respect we deserve and people acknowledge us as a proper subrace of the dwarves, no longer telling us to "Just go play an elf", which in my opinion is insulting as it suggests that when we picked the race we enjoy we were wrong and another race should have been chosen. When that day comes, then I shall stop bringing up the plight of the forest dwarves. Until then you will just have to put up with my activism.)) ((Its funny because I knew you would so that, "Not in every post" comment, but basically its in almost every dwarf roleplay post you make, of recent, and we understand your concerns. And I understand if you can't cater to our every need, you do enough putting up with me :3 But I would like some effort made to please the forest dwarf population, so I think I will post in the development thread. Except for this one idea I have which isn't forest dwarf based, which I think it will interest you. Oh, by the way Willie, you called us forest elfs! Kilgrim 361 Share Posted October 15, 2011 ((You see it's just most people such as myself think Forest Dwarves as just a replacement for a third subrace because they couldn't think of any others. Really whats the point of being a dwarf and then living in trees? Why didn't forest dwarves just chose to become elves when they joined the server.... and well, forest dwarves are somewhat of an oxymoron compared to the basic dwarf. I strongly suggest that instead of getting what you call "hate" instead of people's basic opinions, in the new world you will be able to choose a new race. Please choose Elf so we don't have to listen to your so called complaints of disrespect which is basically coming from every non-forest dwarf.)) Dwarves who like to live in the ground but prefer to be closer to the surface or who just plain out live on the surface among other races. It would be slightly more accurate but allow the forest dwarves who live with elves to continue living there with it making RP sense and allow them to live underground with the cave dwarves if they choose without having to receive so much hate.))
