The Government and Civil Services of Amathine

Established in the year 130 S.A.

 

The Crown of Elvendom is the governing body of the Realm of Amathine, it is split into two sections, classified by the roles of each. The Crown Council, members of the Realm’s inner circle that deliberate and take charge of situations involving the state as a whole both foreign and domestic. They handle federal business. Meanwhile the Domestic Council serves the people of the state. They handle internal affairs such as housing and expenditures within the land, as well as topics such as religion and culture.

The Crown of Elvendom

HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, THE HIGH PRINCESS OF AMATHINE

The sovereign of the Princedom, she bears the weight of both leadership and guardianship over the Realm of Amathine. Her duties encompass but are not limited to critical decision making that shapes the destiny of her people. Alongside this she acts as a beacon of hope and a representation of the intertwining cultures of the land. She upholds the traditions of both Mali’ame and Almenodrim.

 

HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS, THE PRINCE CONSORT OF AMATHINE

The consort, one betrothed to the High Princess. The cost of love, in this case more than others, demands hard work. The consort to Amathine’s great Sovereign is tasked with assisting them in any way, shape or form. They are tasked with various activities, including acting as a temporary figurehead should the Princess be unavailable or otherwise incapacitated. They also serve as a transitory leader when needed.

HER LADYSHIP, THE PRINCESS HEIR OF AMATHINE

The princess-heir is a royal figure with limited inherent authority, yet she plays a vital role in the elvendom's governance. In the absence of the High Princess and Prince Consort, she steps in to represent them and make crucial decisions. Her main responsibilities include learning from the High Princess, engaging with the council, and maintaining a harmonious court atmosphere. She embodies continuity and represents the kingdom's future, poised to become a wise and graceful leader when her time comes.

HIS LORDSHIP, THE LORD COMMANDER OF THE OKARTENNALLAR

The leader of the Okartennallar, commanding Amathine’s military. The Lord Commander is in charge of keeping soldiers and other military personnel in shape and ready to act in defense of the Crown at large. He leads his men and women both in sessions of training and of war. His task is one of great importance to the sovereignty of these great Elven lands.

 

HER LADYSHIP, THE LADY EXARCH OF AMATHINE

The leader of the Exarchy, or Judiciary. Their charge is primarily that of law. They write and reform the given commandments of the land whilst also ensuring judgment is carried out for those unwise enough to break it. Secondarily those of the Exarchy are tasked with diplomatic visits of a more minor degree, serving as envoys to different nations. Often the task of diplomacy falls to the Lady Exarch herself.

 

HIS LORDSHIP, THE LORD ARATIR

The Commander of the Aratir, directly in charge of the council’s safety and well-being. This entity is detached from the military and serves solely the members of the council. The Lord Aratir is tasked with suggesting new members to this organization as well as ensuring they’re fit for service. He also decides each member’s task, whether it’s the High Princess herself or more rarely lower nobility.

 

 

 

The Domestic Council
HER LADYSHIP, THE LADY STEWARD OF AMATHINE

The Lady Steward possesses a job most important. They work to ensure domestic issues are handled such as housing and taxes. They keep order and fund the Crown with much needed coin. Alongside such, they’re also charged with hosting social and cultural events, a form of much needed relief for many citizens and, oftentimes, a secondary source of funding.

 

THE HIGH PRIEST(ESS)

The representative of the Wild Faith. Their task is to lead those into new grounds in regard to the Wild Faith. They are charged with the greater task of upholding the balance. Their duties involve religious ceremonies, advising the Crown on how to better serve the Aspects, and upholding respect throughout our land for that which we most greedily inhabit.
