REVELRY FOR THE BOUNTIFUL HARVEST

Many months have passed since the great migration that led us into the new world of Aevos. 

The citizens of the Petra, much like a majority of the world, have been hard at work to build a new land to sustain future generations to come. When the Archduchess Renilde I first stepped foot onto the lands that would be dubbed as property of the Petra. The first seeds of the nation were sowed into the vast fields that surround the city of Vallagne. For days, the citizens watched and carefully tended the fields of the Petra, anxious whether the seeds would germinate in foreign soil. When the first sprout was reported, joy broke out. For the following months, farmers cultivated more and more of the surrounding land until a healthy surplus of crops was produced. While a majority of the crop was distributed throughout Petra and to Her citizens, much still remained. To celebrate such a success achieved in hardly a year, the River Court suggested that a festival would be deemed proper for such an occasion; to not only celebrate such fertile soil and its offspring, but to a safe voyage from the old world to the new and to the individuals that have made the name ‘The Commonwealth of the Petra’ possible.

VALLAGNE FARMERS MARKET

[3:00pm EST - Tuesday, June 13th]

Vendors, local or abroad, are given the opportunity to advertise their products to the citizens of the Petra. Merchandise of all kinds are accepted to be sold. Come support your Petran business by investing in their wares. Lots of raw materials, livestock and jewelry is expected to be available. Stalls will be available for purchase to display items, while salesmen will also be allowed to sell by hand or cart.

 

SAINT EMMA’S SPARRING COMPETITION

[4:00pm EST - Wednesday, June 14th]

The River Court opens up the Petran festival grounds to those who wish to participate in a lively spar! The combat will be hand-to-hand to limit the likelihood of serious injury, and the contestants will face off with those who continuously win. The final two shall compete for the title of champion and win a small sum of mina.

 

A KNIGHT UNDER THE STARS

[5:00pm EST - Friday, June 16th]

A formal event, a gala, arranged solely for the purpose of celebrating our fallen heroes and brave soldiers of the Petra. The ball shall initially begin with a speech delivered by the Archduchess to honor those whom the dance is dedicated to, then she shall dismiss the crowd to the dance floor. Wine and fine dining will be provided for the guests, and at the end of the night the best dressed male and female shall be announced.

Lorena Anastasie delicately pecked the tip of her pen atop her wooden desk as she rest abut it, her muted- and often still gaze quickly skimming through the Lady Chamberlain's missive: "Wonderful work, Justine. This will surely be something to look forward to." Enunciated the perched woman with a wide beam.

“Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor,” murmured the youthful Baron Resmore. “The harvest has come, and harvest we shall.” Perhaps the youth spoke of crops, perhaps of a harvest entirely another; one could never be too certain with the ambitious Godfrey.

“Oh, this shall be some serious fun!” Renilde exclaimed after having signed the document for Justine. “I hope I am eligible for the best-dressed prize…” She flaunted the gown she planned to don for the gala, waggling a brow.
