A Idea for new walls

Hail good People,

I heard that on the new map there would be war between the original nations (elves, orcs, human and dwarves), so I started looking around in laurelin, searcing for things to improve. I directly saw an problem: the walls, it is tiny and hard to protect, so I started disigning and I came do this disign:

it is good protected and strong.

let me know what you think about it.

You told me there would be several cities and if the cities will grow as quick as they do now there will be houses on the ground in no time! (by the way you still need to protect the places where you come up.)

It is difficult to hit people when they are right at the base of the wall... but being there is not realy efficient! :P

the base of the wall should have cobwebs,then water should be poured over that! then if they step into the moat at the base of the wall they get stuck and drown. haha,then the archers have a magnificent vantage point of all the people on the edge of the moat.

((the wall shape needs to have a pattern like this:

in this diagram,you can still have a wall with structure like yours,just this way the wall doesnt look Flat and kinda boring.with this kinda structure the wall looks more like it was grown into place or something.less like a wall,more like a defensive part of nature.its mostly astethic in purpose,but if you can have functionallity with looks,why wouldnt you?

I have a suggestion, maybe we can have waterfalls at the base of the walls. The design is great, but we are also prone to damage through fire as well. It would be catastrophic is the forests were burned.

And I also liked that fellows cobweb idea as well.

Funbie you say that... I've made stone walls in the wooden walls, so they cant burn the wall!

I think what Durzio meant is that we make the walls look lesser like something constructed but something that we carved out from the inside of a still-living tree, something to make the wall look defensive, practical and natural all at the same time instead of having the wall bit flat like in the picture you posted.

That sounds like a great idea! The new wall could should be required... or at least strongly considered.. If you want I have a server with Hamachi... and we could test around with the best wall idea... Just PM on the forums and I will send you the info if you are interested :)

On the wall say people raided it and took shelter by the side so no one could shoot at them, you could have piston under the wood by the grass flick the leaver and then the grass comes under the wall and the leftover at the bottom has trapdoors with dispensers at every part so they can die and loot there items! or lava but we want morez loot people.....................
