As the sun settles upon the hills of Aevos we can from day to day see the natural beauty of our world evolve. A rose growing upon the hill, the seeds we have planted sprout from the ground, as new generations are born. We bring them into this world, but in what life is it we bring them into? Is it a life that will be filled with meaning? with peace? With the ability to live a long and healthy life where they will be allowed to grow wise and old?

 

For the last hundred years, each generation born has known a similar life, a similar fate in almost all parts of our world. From the Tripartite war that saw what would become the end of the Holy Orenian Empire, to the brothers war that saw two Kingdoms born. The Acre rebellion which saw the fall of the Kingdom of Oren, the Petrean Civil war which saw a nation torn to two sides. And then, finally the civil war within Aaun that saw the independence of Adria. Yet send the world into yet another global war. Only for us to in the end lose our home of Almaris in the devastating war against the mori.

 

Is this truly the life we wish for our children to live in? Is this what they deserve? And if we were allowed the option to choose, in what life would we ourselves pick? It's been long since our history books have allowed us to write of a time with peace in our world. One might even believe that there has not been true peace since the reign of Exalted Horen, as even his sons were unable to keep the peace between humanity. So how can we expect anything different from ourselves? And if so, who will be the one to take the first step towards peace among men?
