It has been two years since the last Grand Edict and the Grand Kingdom wishes to inform its citizens of the progress made since then, and the current state of the Kingdom in terms of the economy, industry, military and diplomatic affairs

 

ECONOMY
ᛖᚲᛟᚾᛟᛗᛁ

The Kingdom has paid its outstanding debts, meaning now there is no weight holding it back. Soon after the debt was lifted, the Kingdom’s treasury increased by 2000 mina, to further boost its economy, the Grand King shall personally hold an auction in the coming stone days, the details of which will be sent in a separate missive.

 

LEGION
ᛚᛖᚷᛁᛟᚾ

The Legion has been performing excellently, with many recruits lining up to join in. They have shown both discipline and skill and have excelled during combat training. The legion payment shall start in 4 stone days. Grunts are paid 30 mina while Ironbreakers are paid 50.

 

DIPLOMACY
ᛞᛁᛈᛚᛟᛗᚨᚲᛁ

All talks with Norland have failed, on three separate occasions the Obsidian Throne sent diplomats to discuss the conflict with Norland, even after they had taken the life of a dwarf. All dwarves are heavily advised against going to Norland as tensions continue to rise. The Grand Kingdom will not stand for any more insults.

 

COMMENDATIONS

The Grand Kingdom would like to officially thank the following dwedmar for their contributions in recent times.

 

Uradan Starbreaker and Goimbar Goldhand for helping dig out and construct the Legion Barracks. It is thanks to their efforts that our legionnaires can rest peacefully after their honourable duties.

 

Sigrun Ireheart for finding a wandering necromancer and burning him to ash within our Pit of Doom.

 

Lurdoic Irongut for always sparring with the King, helping the throne get battle ready.

 

Officer Grudgebeard for contributing over 300 mina to the treasury.

 

Darrim Ireheart for contributing 600 mina to the treasury! A feast will be hosted in his honour in the coming stone days (Friday 4pm EST). Special thanks will be given to Officer Grudgebeard during the feast as well.

 

JOB OFFERINGS
ᛃᛟᛒ ᛟᚠᚠᛖᚱᛁᚾᚷᛊ

The Following Jobs are currently vacant within the Grand Kingdom of Urguan:
 

Bartenders - There is a lack of Bartenders within the nation, more are always welcome.

 

Scribes and Archivists - Scribes to transcribe official meetings and to write missives on the King’s behalf are needed, as well as Archivists to help preserve dwarven history and heritage.

Cupbearer/Brewmaster - A person dedicated to serving drinks at feasts and all official meetings is needed, a cupbearer is meant to be a brewmaster as well, capable of creating brand new delightful drinks to serve.
