CasualNuker 642 Share Posted January 27 Recruits' Experience in Adria Folly of Markus Sarkozic Prelude: In the early dusk hours, we marched forth from Balian towards the newly reformed Duchy of Adria to fight them within some small fortifications we saw from our encampment but upon further scouting we noticed that their numbers had dwindled so severely that rather than haul our siege equipment from Drusco we could order a simple cavalry charge forward. Our rally consisted of thirteen thousand and eight hundred cavalry units, with a mix of infantry. The Battle: Upon waking early that morning to begin preparation for the battle to come we cared for our horses and began fitting armor, weaponry, and such to their saddlebags for the fight. But as we marched forward from our encampment and came into first view of the Adrian’s Host we realized that their numbers had dwindled to a meager six thousand seven hundred men half of which were infantry positioned in some old ruins. After some brief exchange of arrow fire, our commanders ordered a charge across the length of the battlefield to surprise the Adrians with a full-on frontal assault. And within mere moments the Adrian lines had broken with man and beast attempting to flee our deadly blades as we swung down at them! But it was far too late for every last man was slain upon the battlefield as the Calvary of the Grand Covenant galloped triumphantly homewards.
