That name holds no weight within our order," he muttered disdainfully. "He is certainly no 'Holy Knight.' In fact, he was present in Lurin when the lurinites incited violence against us, the loyal servants of GOD. We were merely trying to conduct tests, as the treaty stipulated, yet all we received was slander against His Holiness, Sixtus VI. Not only that, but we were forcibly expelled from Lurin and, upon our return, were gathered into a room with other lurinites under the pretense of discussion." Gerard paused, his voice laced with indignation. "Until 'Johannes,' the very man who had rallied against us, attempted to assassinate His Holiness, the Vicar of GOD." He shook his head in dismay. "And yet, the elf 'Edvard with a V' had the audacity to claim there were no darkspawn within the voidal city of Lurin, only for a lich to emerge from its shadows in an attempt to murder His Holiness." Gerard's expression hardened. "Shame on them for their deceit, shame for accusing other nations before addressing their own, and shame for their vile attempt on His Holiness's life."
