Sporadic 2844 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Hail, scholars of Aegis. Rivell Gordian, on behalf of the Historians of Aegis, is commissioning any books written about modern history. Budding writers, provided their knowledge is vast and their quill is sharp, will be able to profit from their ability to shrewdly observe and record events as they occur. You will be paid between 100 and 800 Minas for your finished work, depending on the literacy, quality and readability of the delivered product. Conditions on submitted books are: - Seller must have personally written the book. Plagiarism will be dealt with harshly. - Book must be in English and pleasant to read (Proper paragraphing, grammar and spelling) - Book must describe recent events that have actually came to pass. ((Aka IG events. Especially books about the Undead conquest will be welcomed)) We, the Historians, preserve full right to reject your writings. However, we shall not claim or display your work without issueing payment. Those with an interest of history may additionally apply for the Aegis Historians here. Doing so does not void your right to receive payment for books.

Adonzo 2 Share Posted October 18, 2011 So should the books be written about the server correct? You said "modern history", I just am not sure whether your regarding modern, real life times or the modern time on the actual server itself. I am assuming the server but I am not sure. Mechawolf 3 Share Posted October 18, 2011 This would be great! Since we're moving to the new continent in a few months or so, recording this for the future and coming new members of Aegis and the new lore/continent/world will be a smart plan. It's always good for inspiring builders and guild leaders to learn from the past to further improve themselves in different and interesting creative ways! Pepernoot 51 Share Posted October 18, 2011 I still have an eyewitness report of a battle with the undead at Sanhar which I wrote. You can find it both in my library, or send me a bird for a copy. -Cerlos Ithelias

Sporadic 2844 Author Share Posted October 19, 2011 ((I'm glad this thread has a sort of momentum. Just to clarify, though. The historians are NOT planning on building a massive library with all the possible books. I don't work for the Librarians of Aegis and besides, Cerlos has an awesome library that I have neither the power or inclination to compete with. This is merely a community service, to make sure that all modern history occurring gets chronicled by participants, allowing ME to surmise and future players to inform themselves of what has come to pass. I personally hate Undead attack events, but people who are there can easily extent their RP a little by writing it down AND get paid for it. People from guilds can also write about their events for extra recognition. I'll be throwing more Minas around on things like this. Keep your eyes peeled :)) Still relevant! Elindor 666 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I'd like to trade some books I have. Contact ((Jerry_Man)) with a carrier bird when you can. Otherwise I am often at the Treetop Inn outside Laurelin. You can leave a message with someone there.
