Franczhiz 4438 Share Posted July 4, 2024 — R O S I A N I S M — As written by the Rosianist Scribes of Louisanne Preamble Rosianism is an ideology which follows the ideas and political legacy set by the past Lords of Rosius, specifically derived from the founders and progenitors of the House de Rosius; Valent Philip de Rosius and Sir Otis Maximilian, Baron of Rosius. Based upon the Rosius' rise from commoners to nobility, the ideology of Rosianism makes no distinction between the rights of the nobility, the backbone of the government, or the commoner, the backbone of our society. The monarch's power is absolute. Nobility The nobility are the protectors of Heartlander traditions and values. They are granted significant privileges and responsibilities, including governance of lands and military leadership, to maintain the social order and stability. Traditionalism Rosianism places a high value on maintaining and preserving ancient customs, tradition, and social norms. Change is viewed with suspicion, and innovations are only accepted if they align with or reinforce existing traditions. Militarism Rosianism promotes a strong and disciplined military to defend the Heartlander Confederation from external threats and suppress internal dissent. Military service is considered a noble duty, and warriors are highly respected in society. Religious Orthodoxy Rosianism is deeply intertwined with the state religion, Canondom, with the High Pontiff as its earthly representative. The Church supports the monarchy, and the church plays a crucial role in legitimizing the Monarch's rule and maintaining moral order. Hierarchical Social Structure Society is strictly stratified with clear distinctions between classes. Each class has specific roles and duties that contribute to the overall harmony of the Confederation Patriotism and Nationalism Heartlanders are taught to take immense pride in their heritage, culture, and the kingdom's history. National unity is paramount, and loyalty to the monarchs and country is expected of all subjects. The Nobility Below the Monarchs, the noble class governs the land, leads the military, and upholds traditional values. Nobles are hereditary and often reside in fortified castles. They are honored for their service and uphold the chivalric code. The Commoners Farmers, artisans, and merchants who form the backbone of the economy. Key Policies Land Ownership Land is concentrated in the hands of the Royal Household and the Council. Commoners may work the land but rarely own it. The feudal system ensures that each class is dependent on the other. Law and Order Laws are strict and enforcement is harsh. Punishments are severe to deter crime and maintain social order. Justice is administered by the local lords and ultimately by the king and his council. Economic Regulation The economy is primarily agrarian and through the selling of minerals, with guilds controlling trades and crafts. Market activities are regulated to prevent social upheaval and ensure fair dealings.
