When the Flower Wilts

Slowly, did it fall

The flower from the tall tree

The sun had vanished

Gone to the heavens

Leaving behind the many

Too, did the maiden

The dagger in hand

Her back to her blossomed tree

Her tears fell down, down

Haneki lay there

Her wrists bleeding fae ichor

Fading into death

Though her soul lingered

In the embrace of her tree

Her story ended.

In the sadness and despair of her departed Shugo, The Flower Maiden of Koyo-Kuni commits seppuku before her fae tree. In her grasp, a violin, as she played the music she loved until her dying breath. A note was left in her palm.

To Oro,

My student. I took great pleasure in showing you the magic of music! You have grown greatly into an amazing man, and musician.

I request you do not grieve me, but instead tell great tales of the Sakura Maiden!

To you I leave my violin.

To Shugo Atsuko,

I know you will be a great Shugo, and I apologize that I will not be there for it. To you I leave my bokken, which Shugo Oijin had crafted me.

I failed to protect him, and for that I take my life. I hope you may gift this weapon onto one more deserving. I leave my rope dart also, in hopes you find a warrior or shinobi greater than I.

To Akemi,

I am sorry, Akemi-san. Know that I cherished every day I spent as your employee in your teahouse. You were a great help to me.

To you I leave my remaining alchemicals, and my love.

To Elenora,

Thank you for giving me a chance. I regret that I was unable to complete my studies as a dedicant under you.

To you I leave my telescope. Perhaps you may see me in the stars above.

Spoiler

Ty to everyone who was involved in this characters story, though I haven't been very motivated to play her for a while.

It's time her story came to an end.

In a time before tragedy, Uncle O remembered fondly the spring months in Sakura-Gakure peaking from his workshop to see Haneki tutoring his grandson Oro beneath the Iron Sakura trees. How times were so much more like Season 1 Naruto instead of Shippuden back then.

Kiyoshi recalls upon his first meeting with Haneki; the cherry blossom treating him with such judgement and sharpness.

His last was one of happiness and joy. Rest in piece, Haneki. You were one of the better ones

Akemi held the letter tight.
Somewhere far away, beneath a very different sakura, she lit a candle; some incense as well.
