A month ago I publicly deposed Alaric Grimgold for his abuse of his holy office - but at the wise counsel of Sigrun Stonehammer I called an Iron Assembly this month to retain consensus amongst our people. At the meeting, possibilities of a path forward were openly discussed, such as my council and the priests present electing a new High Preceptor or even submitting the choice to a popular election. In the end though, the former option triumphed with a majority in favor of it, and after a brief discussion on whether to delay the vote - my council and the three priests voted on whether to elevate the sole declared candidate Sigrun to the office of High Preceptor. A majority voted in favor, with 5-1 supporting Sigrun’s candidacy: lone dissent from Aerrund Silverbraid. Nonetheless - it is great pleasure that I announce the elevation of Sigrun Stonehammer to the title of High Preceptor, may the Gods bless his endeavors.

 

To note:

 

Sigrun’s purpose is to rebuild the Clergy’s foundation and give it a strong base for future High Preceptors to work on. Due to this, his time within the role will be short, approximately four years.

 

With that said, I welcome you all to establish yourselves with the Brathmordakin faith on a deeper level and prepare yourselves if you wish to become the next High Preceptor after Sigrun Stonehammer steps down.

 

Alaric Grimgold is banished from becoming High Preceptor for the rest of his days.
