To All Denizens of My Great Commonwealth,

 

My name is Ghelezas, and I am an Azdrazi. Eighty years ago, I slew the rebel Duke Constanz and drank his blood, usurping the throne and his blood claim to the title. For eighty years, I have led My Great Commonwealth from the shadows, advising Renilde and Catherine (who were both my puppets) from the shadows of the palace.
