TysCreations 459 Share Posted July 25, 2024 Spoiler Ambiance >:3 littered around Vikela and sparsely Across the rest of Aevos was a missive written in a heavy hand, despite this it was in a neat, semi-posh handwriting and seemingly addressed to no one until one would read further. "To those who remain. It brings me great sorrow to watch what you have put so much love into building, The legacy you tried so hard to weave, being burnt to Ash and rubble. A place where I maybe once hoped to call home one day gone like a gentle breeze on a summer's day. Despite this, your willingness to stand against such Odds in defence of what was right, what was yours, was nothing less than inspiring, not just to me but to many across aevos. Though your last leaves have fallen, your last flower burnt away, there are still seeds to be sewn. Your seeds. Seeds of hope. Seeds of bravery. Seeds of love and togetherness. They are yours to hold, to plant, to love and cultivate. Do not let those who wish to hinder your growth trample on your seedlings, do not let them burn down your trees nor take the fruit you bare. Hold your branches strong, hold them proud, let your leaves and flowers flourish in the sun and dance in the rain. For I am proud. Proud to have seen you in your glory, proud to have stood by you in your time of need, proud to have called you my friends. But I ain't going nowhere, just like you. For vikela we soared. For togetherness we fought. Now, we must continue our flight to New lands." Signed: The halfling
Werew0lf 24181 Share Posted July 25, 2024 “Please stop talking about seed,” drawled King Sugarfoot III, who wandered across the conquered lands of Vikela.
Tael 216 Share Posted July 25, 2024 As the wandering magus and retired Minister of Knowledge of Vikela answered his daily correspondence, he came across strewn missives about the pavements of Celian'or, his current refuge and with risen brow did he read through it's contents. The further he went through it the more his expression of confusion dissolved into one of uncertainty and melancholy but yet... maybe of hope, too. Tomes clutched onto his head with some level of distress, for while that was an outcome he had foreseen, the dawning of that reality was of some pain to him - After all, a great deal of his contacts and friends resided there, though still his purple slit eyes shed no tears. "...I won't pretend that Vikela was a perfect land. It did not have the strongest army nor the greatest artisans, and mistakes were made aplenty over it's vast history, but if there is one thing that Vikela has above all nations is it's love, pride and compassion. While I was a part of it's leadership for but a short time of maybe a decade it was an experience I will not soon forget as I met many companions in those lands. Scatter, spread, confound those honorless warmongers who would chase you to the ends of Aevos time and time again, and let your still indomitable wings carry you to ever greater heights. For Vikela we soared indeed, may we all meet again if fate wills it."And so did Tomes let go of the message, a grin of relief upon seeing the signature of "The halfling", being assured that he was at least alive.

Karina 1900 Share Posted July 25, 2024 Lilliandriel stood in the conquered capital, showing off one of the missives to her fellow krugsmarine. She laughed, and laughed again. The plight of the Vikaelan people was one, after all, wrought by their own hands. They were just consequence.
