Thus FEASTFORGING was made. Unlike typical warforging oils this one didn’t touch on elements or light levels it was more for custom looks for the alchemist’s favorite food to be represented on whatever they apply the oil to. Recipe: Base: Oil x1 Mundane: Curtailment x3 Mundane: Lethargy x1 Mundane: Endurance x4 Mundane: Clarity x2 Any piece of food the alchemist wants to make the oil give the tint of. - This cannot be applied to Lunarite, or Ironwood. - This can be applied to any non-listed metal. It retains physical tells to their composition; such as Azhl’s grey-ish hue, Carbarum’s oceanic colour, and Lunarite’s ability to glow. The application of the oil cannot obscure the identity of the metal. - The item offers no combative advantage at all. - The item must be left in a pile of food scraps of the same food chosen that envelop it entirely for [1] OOC day to gain the selected look it has. To put a new look on it standard warforging procedures must be followed. - The applied to item does gain a slight flavor of the foodstuff but does not become edible or provide nutrients. - The coated item will lightly smell of the food that can only be smelt within [1] meter of the item, when scratched or damaged the scent range increases to [2] meters. But during this alchemy test endeavor he left a sword under the food scraps for too long and it went bad. When he went to check on it the smell coming from the food pile reeked, and the sword had taken up an unappetizing appearance. And thus SLOPFORGING was made. Unlike typical warforging oils this one didn’t touch on elements or light levels it was more for custom looks for the alchemist’s favorite gone bad food to be represented on whatever they apply the oil to. I don’t think it will get in but I want to give it my best shot. After all if I don’t try, it is failure before I even type a letter. Any criticism is welcome I want to make this the best I can! RianNeverfield 149 Share Posted August 13, 2024 5 hours ago, Turbo_Dog said: this is a new war forging. Why no? I’m genuinely curious about this The current warforging techniques are a dwarvish alchemy closely tied to the clans of the dwarves. They do in some way or form represent the different clans. Such as Starforging for Clan Starbreaker, Frostforging for Clan Frostbeard etc. I personally am not against the ideas presented and would surely love to see new methods of using alchemy for aesthetics, I don't think they should be new versions of Warforging specifically. I know it's no longer a dwarven craft as it may have been, but it feels bad to put these in the same category. Especially when you have the chance to make this something completely new, that maybe apply to more than just metals and gems. This could be much closer to the Manipulate Arts from Bardmancy maybe even.
