REPORT

195 S.A Tobias’ Bounty, the Most Argent Order mobilised twenty men to sail into the waters north of the mangrove swamps of Aevos. The platoon was commanded by the Grand Duke and Man-at-Arms Stephen Starling.

 

The squad was organised in response to a missive by the Kh’at’or clan, of the Shuul race. With the intent to trade and gain information about the race, and potential naval technologies, the Grand Duke assembled the platoon. 

 

The M.A.O.T arrived at a sunken stone fort, interwoven with dead coral, that was sunk into an otherwise vibrant coral reef. The area was filled with other combatants, that we assume had prior contact with the Shuul, judging by familiarity.

 

With diving masks the Platoon sank into the entrance of the keep to make audience with the Shuul chieftain. However not soon after this, did a rival band of shuul, wielding magic, froze everyone and cursed the Kh’at’or chief, before leaving and launching an invasion upon the keep.

 

The combined forces of the motley crew of combatants were enough to hold out against what can only be described as ‘Crab Knights’ until Shuul reinforcements came.

 

The platoon suffered no damage, with it being reported that the Grand Duke slew 2 Crab Knights.

 

After the conflict, the platoon returned home.

 

ANALYSIS

The band of magic assassin Shuul, henceforth referred to as Dark Shuul, have declared their intent to war or cause conflict with dwellers of the land. This is due to perceived violations of Shuul religion since the Kh’at’or clan were bestowing ‘blessings’ on terrestrial people.

 

It is in the Grand Duchy’s interest to secure its waterways to prevent disruption from these Dark Shuul, as well as ensure the survival of the Kh’at’or clan to improve surface-to-aquatic relations, and potentially establish resource trade.

 

Further missions are to be carried out to this end. Full mobilisation is to be discussed amongst the Knights and privy council.
