moosehunter123 1081 Share Posted September 8, 2024 TO JOIN THE WAR Issued by THE THRONE OF RAVENMIRE Confirmed on the 10th of Sun’s Smile, 197 S.A. To the People of Ravenmire and the Descendant Realms, Where there is chaos, there must exist order. Those of Hohkmat have chosen to embrace that of chaos - turning to the cold embrace of the Void and allowing it to fester within their realm. Word of the Mother Church’s intentions to march upon these voidal heretics has reached Our ears within the North, and we shall not stand idly by whilst this great effort is undertaken. THUS LET IT BE KNOWN: The Sovereignty of Ravenmire does hereby issue a Declaration of War upon the Academy of Hohkmat. Our armies shall henceforth begin the process of mustering within the capital, Ravenmire City, before setting out to join this righteous march. We of Ravenmire affirm our loyalty to the Holy Mother Church and, throughout the duration of this conflict, shall heed their military commands. The forces of Ravenmire shall not cease in their efforts until the voidal worshipping heretics of Hohkmat are brought low. SIGNED, HIS HIGHNESS, Bo I, Sovereign of Ravenmire, Count of Ravenmire City, Protector of the Smallfolk & of the Far North, Patriarch of the House of Rostova HIS GRACE, Henry Arthur Haverlock, Duke of Blackworth, Hand of the Crown, Count of Illation, Patriarch of the House of Haverlock WARCLAIM ALLEGIANCE: Church of the Canon & their allies WARCLAIM PATH: @Halt
Javert 9628 Share Posted September 8, 2024 The Duke of Blackworth smiled proudly as he signed off on the missive. At last, Blackworth would march to war for real this time. "Muster the Levies of Blackworth. Let us march to the aid of the Pontiff."
ThatFunkyBunch 2818 Share Posted September 8, 2024 A shaman fiddles with an odd trinket. "Kanon? Oh yes I know Kanon well.." Clad in leathers, he cranes his head for another whispering of old Kanon.
StingyParrot 1595 Share Posted September 9, 2024 Arakawa sighs, the declaration held suspended in the air before him. Two others, announcing similar intentions for the city he'd poured his time, energy and - dare he say it - heart, into, lay neatly on the desk. Anger burned bright in his chest for a time, before he allowed the parchment to fall, a tide of hopelessness smothering the flame of his emotions, hardening into apathy. Such was the way things would be, he supposed, and he suppressed a dark chuckle at the sheer unfairness of the situation. Faith was a powerful thing, he knew, enough to turn the most unlikely of people into heroic icons of their eras, and powerful enough to ensure blind zealotry in others. Looking behind him - where scattered boxes lay in the now-bare office - he picked up his bonsai, the small shard of nature having miraculously survived despite years spent in the magic-inundated city, and packed it away. He would go back to his roots, he decided. Return home. Come full circle. And it was so that, if and when the good men of GOD would shatter the walls of Hohkmat, they would find not a trace of the Vizier of Earth, save for a small painting hung in his office, depicting a beautiful view of the river, seen from the city's walls.
