Previously in Celia'nor...

Event 1 - 19th of Sun's Smile, 198SA

The Professor, toting his briefcase and a caravan provided to him for a surprisingly low price, dagged his lecture notes and a rare juvenile Earth Eater worm into Celia'nor - of course, after ensuring that the cage itself were double and triple-checked. Thrice over!

Giving a lecture to several individuals in the city he highlighted the dangers of the Earth Eater, what to do if one encounters them in public and more. Charismatically talking about them, he eventually had two of the children feed the captive worm. It was, however, at this point that chaos erupted. The children mentioned they found a strange black oil- and that the barrels had been partially cracked open. Tampered? The ground rumbled, and much to the professor's chagrin, a torrential twenty-foot-long earth eater erupted and wreaked havoc upon the populace, causing a number of injuries. During the chaos, one of the civilians attempted to break free the smaller earth eater and suffered grievous injuries for the effort.

As the brave men and women of Celia’nor came together, a collective effort of polearms, blades and some intelligent usage of the previous lecture managed to bring the great worm down. Meanwhile, the smaller worm quite viciously tore its way through its releaser without any such gratitude. Accused of negligence, the Professor was attacked and arrested, tied up and violently shaken. Violently shaken a lot. And dragged off to the cells whilst pleading his innocence over the obvious (at least to him) sabotage that had taken place resulting in the series of unfortunate events. With a councillor and even the Royarch getting involved, he narrowly avoided having his tongue cut out, financial destitution and more for the accused negligence crimes he faced. Now, kept in house arrest he must somehow clear his name without leaving the Scholarium and incriminating himself further - and somehow figure out the true criminal behind the disastrous events.

Many questions remained. Why was the smaller earth eater released? Who and how did the larger earth eater get attracted into burrowing up through the streets of Celia’nor…? And will Professor Ribbdiggery be cleared of all charges, or further abused by the Diraar?

Event 2 - 199SA

The Princess, and several of her men- a Diraar and a Templar, met with their tag alongs of Lady Mika and her courted partner Saphielle, a student of the Scholarium and after a conversation with Professor Ribbdiggery, agreed to assist him with his efforts to try and clear his name. With their assistance, the supplies for the expedition were hoisted up and carried off towards the caverns that had been priorly excavated and briefly scouted. Though all was not as it was meant to be, as the Princess led the expedition down, a camp of goblinoid like creatures was encountered. Beset upon from all sides, a life or death struggle took place where the three combatants nimbly protected the head scribe and her soon to be fiance from danger. Wounded but still breathing, the group investigated the camp sight, and a late arrival in the shape of Lord Py'lrie discovered a map that had been crudely stuff amongst the goblinoids possessions, revealing that someone had potentially directed them to this spot.

Had students been sent down into the caves as was initially intended, would not a bloodbath have occurred? This information caused the Professors blood to run cold. Or at least, it appeared to bother him tremendously when the information was found...

A fresh year of students arrive at the academy, and they are assorted into random groups with which to work during their time at the academy. It is explained that when they succeed in their academic and extracurricular activities, they are awarded accolades, much as the Diraar of Celia'nor are awarded for duty above and beyond. These accolades are known as Tilru and are integral to graduation. Naturally, when students step out of line, points can be subtracted by faculty members, and at the end of the accademic decade, those with the most points are subject to honours and rewards - and even grants for projects.
