"The Lord GOD is the wisest GOD, and he knows all things, in darkness, in light, in the din of the market, in the silence of the MIND."

Prayer balms the flesh and soul, yet all the same do we employ a physician to the ill.

I am young for my race, but I have seen indescribable horrors spawned not just from the yawning darkness of the Hells, or from the utterly villainous, but from the black pits of the mind. Modern medicine distinguishes the three bodies: The Spirit, the Mind, and the Flesh. Each possessed of its own wills, each vying for supremacy over the other. For many, be they victims of neglect, malformity, malaise, hysteria, an imbalance of the humors, or spiritual decay, these qualities expose themselves in an individual’s day to day behaviors.

It was close to a year ago, a small child – almost certainly possessed by demons – entered Numenost and went on an insane, violent rampage, burning several innocent persons. Prayer did not still her, and no chirurgeon has the tools necessary to exorcize such a sickness. The only cure for such a one, is through the laborious process of Lûthery.

Lûthery, taken from “Lûth-” or, “Thought” in high Adunaic, is the time-intensive vocation of sitting with those who are disturbed and delicately unraveling the terrestrial causes of their cognitive malady. Sometimes, people merely need someone to speak to, other times, life changes and worship resolve our troubles.

Find my office in Numenost, Clement Lûthery, within the Silver Star Smithing Co., and we can discuss treatment costs and projected time tables. You don’t have to suffer alone; through prayer and virtue even the least among us may smile again.

"HELP FATHER. THIS MACHINE IS SAD." The automaton of Numendil sent a letter to the priest. It needed mental help!
