INTRODUCTION
 

Just as a butterfly must go through a metamorphosis to leave behind its days as a caterpillar, so too must every human emerge from their adolescence. No different is it for Her Highness, Princess Julieta Mariposa, who is to come of age and host her Quinceañera. To have reached her fifteenth nameday is a grand occasion, and Her Highness and the House of Pelear invite all citizens and allies of Hyspia to celebrate the Princess as she fully embraces the butterfly she has grown into.

 

Suitors who seek the Princess’s hand in courtship must first present themselves to the debutante’s sister, the Sovereign Xiomara I. If Her Royal Highness grants the suitor approval, he may then present a gift of pearls to Princess Julieta, as is custom.

 

Per Hyspian custom, the forbidden colors of the night will be royal blue and gold, which is to be reserved solely for the Royal debutante. Instead, guests are encouraged to don hues of red, orange, or pink.

Itinerary

The evening will take place in the gardens of Hyspia’s palace, where all are invited to partake in various Hyspian dances. In particular, there will be a dance competition amongst couples. Whichever pair is best able to dance the Salsa will win a grand prize of 100 mina. Furthermore, any suitors who wish to dance with Princess Julieta must first be granted the blessing of the Sovereign.

 

Refreshments of the Princess’s choosing will be provided for guests.

 

As the evening comes to an end, Her Highness has organized a grand display of fireworks to light up the sunset and bring the festivities to a close.
