“Have they forgotten?”

“The righteous, yet endless struggle against Ruin? Yes.”

“So why do they chant their mottos?”

“Because it is all that they can do.”

“They could wage war. Eternally, forever - a unified front against Iblees. But they falter against the long dark.”

“They do not understand this war; they do not comprehend the scale. It is fragile for mortality to see how small they are.”

“So are we to simply accept it? That Ruin will roam - unprevented?”

“No.”

“I have lost faith. They claim that they come as crows - but they vanish just like them.”

“They are only mortal.”

“They claim that the light prevails, but the dark achieves ever greater gains in their apathy.”

“They are only human.”

“They claim that the world is safe under their armies, but the Ruinous tread as if they were men.”

“I know. It has been known for years.”

“It’s left to us then.”

“The Concordat is to inspire the fight against Ruin.”

“Has the Archdaemon not already won? What is it worth then?”

“He won a great victory - that is no lie. But I ask, what did the Solar Titan say?”

“Many things.”

“During her Fall - whence she clenched the Guardian’s Grimoire to her chest.”

“Know this, children of our Sunlit Lord, our Dawnfather from on high - today shall not be thy end.”

“The Sun will rise anew.”

The Frost-Witches had gone undeterred, unnoticed, and unharmed in the Far North, where the torches of the Descendants’ realms dimmed. They had been able to garner and further their infernal interests without issue, adding allies to their malevolent ranks. The Frost-Witch Mother, Naele, even claimed herself to be Queen of the whole of the North.

So it was the efforts of three that would move to take down the Infernal Threat - an action reminiscent of younger, simpler days before Aengulic death had struck itself upon the Realm: The Sovereignty of Ravenmire, a young & ambitious nation that believed in certainty that Iblees and His minions could be beaten back; The Kingdom of Numendil, an older nation intending on filling the niche of what the Paladins had done, hunting Darkspawn whence and where they showed; and the Wayfarer Concordat, concerned primarily with the aspect of Guardianship - fallen with the Aengul Xan.

Defeat would be the finding of truth in what Order had declared as He was destroyed by the Son of Dragur, Azdromoth,

“A pitiful existence.

You have disturbed the tranquility of this realm.

The descendants’ are doomed, and it will be your greed, divinity, that damns them all.

You loathsome child.”

Victory would be disproving these words - that the Descendants were not doomed.

A creature takes its time in the Moz for once. Scouring the hells until fate drew it back to Mundas.
