Medical Report and Summary

Written by Physician Bernhardt von Wesenburg of the Reinmar Clinic

╚═══━━━─── • ───━━━═══╝

[!] The following is a hand-written report, within it various notes, reports, summaries, and more. Throughout it was many misspellings and smudged ink, the writer clearly not bothering the proofread his personal notes ..

“In the mist of werebeasts and rumours spread across Reinmar, the task was given to me by Reinmar’s Frederica I to investigate and evaluate Lieselotte von Wesenburg.

I began with research, finding rumours spread originating in Ravenmire about her allegedly being a Werebeast. However, these claims do not appear to be cohesive. Starting with the story, it was claimed that Lieselotte had her legs cut off completely by those of Blackworth - yet when evaluating Lieselotte at the clinic, she most definitely had both of her legs, even a non medical professional could see she had no scars and undoubting had two human legs. Another claim was that she was brought to the Reinmar clinic afterwards .. however no medical records could be found of such. I am under the assumption it was merely someone using the Lady’s name, as it was known Lieselotte was from Reinmar. It was also claimed it was known the woman was bit by a werebeast by a scar on her ankle, I couldn't find such a scar anywhere on Lieselotte. The entire story is weird, truly so. It seems all the allegations was based on mere eye-witness reports and word of month .. neither solid evidence.

However, undoubtingly tests had to be done to prove her humanity - or prove her curse. So, with the order from Frederica, I, Bernhardt von Wesenburg in the eyes of several witnesses and assistants did various tests to see if Lieselotte von Wesenburg truly is a beast.”

“After a basic exam, reviewing family medical history and all records Lieselotte held, I created the general report. Soon following, is when I began to do the clinical summary - at this point, I did not do any of the more intense tests, rather did the basic medical procedures first to get them out the way. I was told to be thorough with my findings, and I intended to do so.”

“Don’t let the date fool you, I only wrote in the date of Discharge afterwards. Lieselotte was in my sights for the entirety of the research. Witness of such is Mariola Sturmweber and Adalwin von Kretzen. Soon after, Jay Amaranth. Once both Jay and Adalwin were in the room, we began to do more intense testing.

Throughout the exam process, I ensured there was always people with me. Trust me, I am aware it is very unorthodox to exam a family member due to bias - however, my family is the primary leaders of the clinic, and the one blooded trusted members who were around when needed was myself or my mother, whom of which likely wouldve been at a greater risk of bias than myself. I cannot stress enough that I had multiple people with me at all times overviewing my works and tests. I must sound like a broken letter writing these notes, but I truly do need to drive the point home .. I was never alone, I did all tests with others present. Nothing was of bias.”

We all thought the test was a bit silly in nature, so the patient’s near-annoyed nature was reasonable.

╔═══━━━─── • ───━━━═══╗

“We have done many tests, by the time all tests were discussed and done, myself and those assisting had grown tired. Rightfully so, as none of the tests were coming up with any bizarre results. Could we have perhaps tested Lieselotte wrong somehow? Yes, we could've. However, it seems unlikely. By the time we began to test for the more conspiracy like instances such as fear of dogs, flash powder, and so on .. it all began to feel repetitive and all for nothing. It was like us throwing everything we could at a middle ages woman all for a rumour.

Nonetheless, many stayed behind to continue. Some of us, including myself, were informed the church allagedly was notified about Lieselotte - which was of course alarming. We had to continue the tests to see if any would make her turn. Jay Amaranth left, and so did Adalwin von Kretzen after a certain point.

Soon it was decided to do a psych eval of sorts, which my mother completed as I myself am not trained in such a field. My mother is Doktor Violet von Wesenburg, which in Reinmar - Doktor is given to only the best. She is a far better medical professional than I’d ever be. She served as a combat medic, a general medic, physician, mortician, and so on. I trust that her results are true and real. To be safe, I supervised such event as well, and read over her notes - all of which seemed fair and unbias.”

Final Discussion

I was told to administer an eval on Lieselotte to see where she stands mentally, and I can’t say anything is concerning. I was told a lot about Otto, whom was found out to be a werebeast before his passing - and his symptoms do not seem to relatively match up with what I’m seeing here. Many mentioned he was extraordinary tired, stand-offish, to himself, and so on. In comparison with Lieselotte, I am not seeing much similarity.

Of course, I do not know if his symptoms were due to his ‘infection’ ill call it, but for the sake of the exam I’d say Lieselotte doesn’t quite fit the criteria of suspicious or concerning.

I will note, Lieselotte does appear to be a bit quiet and blunt, however she has been such since a child - far before werebeasts even seen to appear in Aevos.

In conclusion, I do see Lieselotte as mentally fit and I am unworried about her status.

╔═══━━━─── • ───━━━═══╗

“I am unsure if a mental eval was even needed, but whoever is reading - surely you must understand .. my hands in a sense are a bit tied. I am unsure of what I am meant to be testing exactly, and unsure of what I am looking before besides intense reactions.

I will admit, doing these tests worry me a bit. Do not get me wrong, I am over the moon and relieved that Lieselotte has not shown any concerning symptoms and only true evidence currently is word of mouth - but, what if during testing she does turn? What if I am wrong? Surely i cannot be to blame, would I be? I’ve had many test her beside me, all of which are as clueless of what’ll actually work or what won’t.

We’re trying to test her in every way we can, going based off stories and legends - but at the same time, we must keep her humanity in tact. If she is purely human, which is very well seems such, we’d all be seen so cruel for doing severe tests on her .. yet, if she turns - then it doesn’t matter, does it? Lady Josefina made many concerning comments during the testing of Lieselotte, some of which I shut down and the others people such as Adalwin or Jay replied too. She told us to Kill Lieselotte, to stab her and hurt her severely .. which, we did not do. We do not need to do such violence! It’s been witnessed and seen that Lieselotte has fought without turning, has seen and lost blood without transforming! To do such drastic measures to a human, to a noble! Completely absurd and I refuse. . .

I digress, in the end I believe it's well in reasonable terms to say that Lieselotte is morel likely not a werebeast than is, she passed all the tests and not during any did she turn into a beast. I am thankful to Jay Amaranth and Adalwin von Kretzen for their assistance in these tests, as well as greatful to those such as Mariola Sturmweber, Luther, and others who had witnessed much of the tests to confirm no funny business was happening.”

Lieselotte read the report herself when she had the chance. She perked a brow, glancing around to see if anyone was around before sighing ..

"They all tried so hard . . ." the human form of the WERE-BEAR muttered, soon walking away . .

Adalwin quickly scanned over the medical report in which he was listed as a witness and assistant. As all seemed in order, he put aside the documents and readied his horse.

The beast that had started the tragedy in Reinmar was still around. And he would not rest until he would find it.

Victor did quietly fix his arm... shorn off by ice-laden wights upon a cursed mountain.

... but boy was he excited to read someone else's work upon Werebeasts, when he returned... and of a Werebeast he already knew of, no less.

Should he survive? Werebeasts, Ed. 2 was looking fantastic.
