[] Deep Stride [Tier 5]

[2 emotes] [no block range]

[Combative]

The land beneath the waves must be cared for all the same as that above, thus the aspects bestowed a blessing in which allows their servants to dive deep and thrive longer in the waters.

Upon channeling their own natural energies a druid may coat themselves in a veil over the course of (2) emotes. This may manifest in an aesthetic of their choice, as clarified below. The druid will be able to breathe underwater for (10) emotes, their bodies more fluid in terms of movement, but this spell-cast will vanish after going (10) blocks in depth. This can only be used (1) time in a combat encounter.

This veil of energy may take on a number of different aesthetic augments physically but should all be in line with what would make sense with the general alignment of druids and nature. For example, the mists could take the shape of gills on the druid's neck/torso, or they could have their mists drift between their hands and feet to create webbed digits to showcase the ease of moving within the water.

I CAN FINALLY LIVE MY MERMAID FANTASY

+10

Edit: If you see a dupilcate on the page- the Forum glitched on me and sent 3 of em instead of one.

If I got it wrong and its 5 spell casts and not 5 emotes of casting which goes to 2-3 casts before exhoustion then its better, still little if you want to be doing some more flavore stuff too but it should be better yea!

yeah it’s 5 spell casts, not 5 emotes of casting lol that’d be absurdly useless

Alright not going to argue that then and just +1 from me! Could consider changing out ''emotes'' to ''spells'' or alike so theres no confused goobers like me but you should be fine with this all

never thought we'd get an actually interesting druid write

fixes the 10+ emotes to lift a root and capitalizes on how cool druidism could actually be in CRP

Spoiler

This lore looks very epic so far, though I do have a question that is likely spurred on by 3 AM exhaustion and should probably wait until tomorrow, and yet:

Exhaustion

[3 total emotes of combative uses]

Does the exhaustion system work on total emotes of combative spells (e.g, in Surge, Ensnare: connection, guidance, surge, cast = 4 emotes of combative use) or does it work on total combative casts (e.g: connection, guidance, surge, cast = 1 emote of combative use).

I ask because you mention below the difference between casts and emotes though in the Exhaustion section, there is only emotes.

This requires a druid to connect, channel, and then cast over the span of (3) emotes, and if a druid wishes to create something larger, it requires (1) emote for every one metre. Though, additional [emotes] count as additional [casts] in the exhaustion system. For example, if a druid uses druidcraft to create a small two-metre stick in (1) emote, this would count as one combative cast. However, if they increase the wooden stick by another metre with an additional (1) emote, this will now count as two combative casts in the exhaustion table.

Again, perhaps I'm overthinking it (as I am known to do, I am the overthinking menace to society) and though I think you mean casts in the exhaustion system due to the quote directly above, I'm not actually sure, and so I ask for clarification.

If my suspicions are correct, I would recommend just making the exhaustion system a little more clear with something akin to:

[3 total casts of combative uses] or [3 total completed cantrips of combative uses]

I have been beaten to the point by @Jaslaw, whOOps x'D

Some formatting issues (why are most of the emote examples some nameless knight with greensight?), but all in all a desperately needed rework with some fun new things added (Tree Stride's sick, even if it's faster to just sprint in the combative form). Giving it to Musin is also such a massive thing, given the lack of magics is a large complaint I've heard from the community.

All in all: Hell yeah, +1

(Also Musin aren't Metztli's, they're Ratiki)

I understand the confusion. I had already edited it before your comment came through, but yes, it is combative casts.

For example, aggressive surge (ensnare) is 4 emotes. However, it would count as (1) combative cast/use.

it’s because emote examples aren’t done due to the abundance of spells. it’s not really needed so we’ll add them passively.

Beast-folk of Metzli can still learn druidism despite their lesser soul’s meaning; Hou-Zi, Musin, and Kharajyr can all be druids.

Hallo, I'm here to nitpick again and I'M SORRY—

but came here to say that Kharajyr have Greater Souls and Musin aren't creations of Metzli!

It DEFINETLY is a lot easier to keep them all grouped up, but something like:

Beast-folk can learn druidism, even those with lesser souls; Hou-Zi, Musin, and Kharajyr can all be druids.

Would work just as well!  But you know you can always tell me to stfu >:]

BUT ALSO

YOU SLAY TF OUT OF THESE WTF
