The dual Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska has seen a rise in both liveliness and presence in recent years since His Royal Majesty King Karl took the throne only three years ago. During this period there are many to thank and those we have grown close with in such a short time but our appreciation is not lessened by that fact. Only last month did we march to the aid of our friends, the Riverfolk to the East, in Petra and slew the Daelish bandits who seek to take innocent lives across the Heartlands. It is thanks to all our soldiers, high and low, that we are able to effectively combat these brigands whenever they rear their ugly heads. We are all here humbled by the loyalty and kinship we have and will continue to build on with the virtuous Canonist peoples and beyond of this world.

In the spirit of thanking those worthy of it and with the King’s age of majority reached, there are those we ought to also express our appreciation to. The Regency Council, composed of the Lady Palatine Princess Milena, Knight Paramount Belisar var Ruthern, Royal Curator Davyd Colborn, Ser Rickard Tosali-Ruthern, and Patriarch Villorik, have served the realm faithfully and governed well in the name of His Majesty. Having safely made it to his sixteenth nameday, King Karl IV is King in his own right and has full governance over the Kingdom following the dismissal of his leal regents. They will continue to perform their respective duties as councillors of the Crown and offer the King their sage advice.

Now begins preparation for the Royal Coronation. We are eager to be in contact with His Holiness to arrange with him the Canonist rites that must be administered as well as looking forward to confirmation that our beloved Cardinal Villorik might apply them in the procession.

The Lady Palatine, in the midst of her mourning, did find some solace in the fact that Karl was now and fully King. That boy she had taken to raising, in the absence of his parent's affections,  had grown into a young man that the Haeseni could be proud of. It was proof, to her, that she did have some capacity within her for warmth and love.

 

The coronation loomed large in her mind now. She would see her nephew anointed by GODAN, rewarded for his zealous piety at long last.
