A Union of Eagle and Swan

My dear Brothers and Sisters in GOD.  It is with great joy that the House Virosi and the Ducal House of Vuiller announce the joyous union between Lady Yelena Vasileia Virosi and Lord Harald Godric Vuiller!
 

Both houses have enjoyed an amicable bond since the days of  Saint James II and Saint Harald I, and with the return of the Virosi on Novellen land, they have seen their ties reforged just as they once were in times of yore!
 

It is from these reforged ties that culminated in the courting of Yelena and Harald! A coupling surely approved by the predecessors of the scions alike from above. And it is with these words, that all denizens and allies alike of the Kingdom of Balian are invited to bear witness to the union of eagle and swan!

The wedding shall commence with the Bride and Groom entering the Cathedral hand in hand, such a gesture diverting the event from themselves as individuals, but rather as a union under the witness of GOD. As the two make way towards the Altar, they shall be followed by two chosen witnesses holding relics relevant to both of their houses' histories, or values.

 

Once the couple reaches the Altar, they will be presented with a goblet to drink wine from. Symbolizing their blood, and the future occurrences that lie in waiting for the bride and groom, both bitter and sweet. After they drink from the goblet, they shall present their vows to each other.


After presenting their vows, the couple shall now exchange their rings, as well as the votive sashes adorning them both. With both sashes depicting moments considered impactful to both of their lives, the exchange shall serve as a further intertwining of their souls in duty and devotion to one another.

Once the vows are exchanged, and prior gestures completed, the couple shall now be crowned with flower wreaths. The wreaths serve as a tribute to the martyr’s of balian who have shed their blood and given up their lives in the name of GOD.




As the Wedding then comes to its conclusion, all attendees of the union shall be beckoned to the Palace’s Ballroom! In which a dance shall be held in celebration for the matrimony, as well as an opportunity for those with gifts to present them to the wedded couple!

His Royal Majesty, John II, found himself bearing a warm grin as word of the planned ceremony reached his ear. "At last, Harald and Yelena are to be wed. I'm delighted for both of them and have little doubt they'll be very happy together." The King then made arrangements for his household's attendance.
