Penned by The Ministry of Letters

Issued on the 11th of Godfrey’s Triumph in the Year of our Lord 2011.

FOREWORD

Concerning recent incidents committed by rogue individuals and groups operating under false Ivorian Banners, we have seen heinous and horrible acts committed in the name of Ivoria by those who are not Ivorian in any sense of the word, both by nationality and by the inherent sense of honor and compassion present within the People of Ivoria. The Archminister, acting under the authority of the Princeps, has issued a new set of laws regarding racism, bigotry, and diplomatic misconduct, with drastic penalties to ensure they are enforced.

Crimes Against Order and Their Repercussions

On Diplomatic Misconduct

Any action taken against any member of another nation that would be construed as hostile or insulting (without direct order of the Principate) shall be heavily punished; no exceptions shall be made.

On Racism

Any action to be taken against a person of any race as a result of their race that could be interpreted as hostile or insulting shall be heavily punishable, including up to death. However, it is noted that actions taken on grounds other than race do not fall under this, for this addresses only crimes stemming from race and racism. Mirroring this, any crime committed based on race and racism shall fall under this act and be accompanied by much heavier repercussions.
Deeds such as unsanctioned kidnapping, ear-clipping, or murder also fall under this.

On Envoys

Anyone who misrepresents themself as an Envoy of Ivoria or one who acts shamefully as an Envoy of Ivoria shall be punished heavily. No deviance from this rule shall be made even for the nobility. Also along with this act, any foreigner who represents themself as Ivorian shall fall under Ivorian jurisdiction and accept such consequences as their actions warrant.
