The duties of the Grand Maer are extensive and cover various matters essential for the well-being of the citizenry. To ensure that these responsibilities are effectively met and to avoid neglecting any important issues, a council will be established to assist the Grand Maer in fulfilling these obligations. 

 

These roles are intended to genuinely support the welfare of the citizens. It is important to note that those in these positions have no authority beyond their assigned duties; their sole purpose is to assist the Grand Maer in carrying out their responsibilities.

 

 

Positions Of The City Council

 

★ CUSTODIAN OF INFRASTRUCTURE

 

The Custodian of Infrastructure oversees the appearance and the infrastructure of the city. This role encompasses coordinating repairs, implementing upgrades, and managing development projects. Additionally, the Custodian is the liaison with the Crown, ensuring that all development and construction initiatives they undertake receive the necessary crown approval before proceeding.

 

★ CUSTODIAN OF GUILDS

 

The Custodian Of Guilds is expected to act as a liaison between the Grand Maer and the various guilds within the city. Their main responsibility is to ensure the guilds operate harmoniously, contribute to the city's development, and address their needs. Yet it must be noted they cannot approve any guild creation, as that is at the crown's discretion.

 

★ MASTER OF REVELRIES

 

The Master Of Revelries collaborates closely with the Grand Maer and the Royal Court to plan and execute celebrations, fairs, and public gatherings. This partnership ensures that these events are well-coordinated, reflecting the cultural and social values of the city while fostering community engagement and unity.

 

★ EXPECTATIONS OF THE CITY COUNCIL  ★

Council members are expected to have relevant expertise or experience in their assigned roles to effectively carry out their duties. They are required to meet once a year to discuss ongoing projects, share updates, and review the progress of various initiatives in collaboration with the Grand Maer. Additionally, they are expected to be actively present in the community to address issues and ensure that no concerns go unnoticed.
