ᴀ ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴛ

Farék Frostbeard wandered the roads of Haense, when within the blink of an eye, three horsemen surrounded him with weapons in hand. Farék questioned their intentions, and was swiftly attacked in response. The first of the attackers, being Bjorg, sought to strike him in the temple with his axe, Farék parried with his own, and shouldered him into a nearby tree. Loki then, Bjorg’s father, struck Farék from atop horseback, and Farék fell to retreat.  With a heavy wound on his shoulder, he did not yield. 

 

Instead, Farék prayed to the Brathmordakin, more specifically DUNGRIMM, the patron of War and Death. In those moments, with his defense up, two of the horsemen attacked Farék with their axes. He defended the blows, but was struck in the hand, suffering a severe wound. He yielded then, and the Northern Bandits took him captive.

ᴀ ʜᴀᴛʀᴇᴅ ʙᴏʀɴ

Farék was dropped from atop horseback, to atop the roots of a tall, Northern tree. The bandits, who identified as Norns, continued their thievery, pocketing his valuables and his choices of weaponry, including his trusty spy-glass. 

 

The brave Frostbeard, in thoughts of death, began to laugh and belittle the Northern men. He called to know their names, their identities, so if survived, he could return and face them in the eyes. 

But the men of the cold North did not give him the answer he was seeking. Instead, they gave him a form of punishment. The blade of their axe met the hairline of Farék, and Bjorg, the youngest of the now two Horsemen, scalped the young Dwarf. 

 

Bjorg asked,

“Where are your Gods now?”

 

Farék answered with a mumble. His voice rasps with the calls and prayers of his gods. So Bjorg leaned closer, aiming to hear better. With a bark then, Farék opened his mouth and bit his ear, fiercely tearing it off of the Northerner’s head. Bjorg fell to his back, kicking the grabbed Farék in a painful response. Farék laughed, and raised his two centre fingers.

 

Loki struck them both with his axe, cutting them clean. Farék then was choked by Bjorg, making him fall in his own puddle of blood. The family of Norns dropped him in the front of Haense, and proclaimed that Norland called war upon the walls of the Haenseti, leaving the dwarf at their gate. 

 

Farék Frostbeard then made the claim;

 

“I will find the basterds, and behead them.”
