A century ago, beneath a rugged archway in a castle’s courtyard, Where banners of red, white and gold swayed in the breath of the wind, And lanterns cast their golden glow upon white stone, Two elves stood, hand in hand, heart to heart.

A century of an oath that held no mortal end. “As long as you both shall live” bore no bounds for elven kind. Forever in matrimony, eternally entwined.

A century of laughter, Of whispered secrets in moonlit halls, Of stolen kisses beneath starlit skies, Of dances that did not end with dawn, Spent together, hand in hand, heart to heart. Forever still, forever ahead.

A century of tears, Of sorrow’s weight upon weary shoulders, Of battles fought in silence and wounds unseen, Of loss that carved its name into the soul, Yet never alone, always side by side. Forever still, forever ahead.

A century of family, Of new voices filling the halls, Of tender hands guiding the young, Of homes that swelled with warmth and then grew quiet, As echoes of laughter faded into memory. Yet always together, hand in hand, heart to heart.
