Acts as a barrier to entry for using automaton combat pets, which are generally very strong. If you commit fully into Animatii as a niche, I think you should be allowed to use a metal attack dog irply in combat. I was motivated to make this post, not because I will benefit from this (I do not use combat pets/play a machine spirit), but because automatons that fight for you have always been cool as a concept- even if they have been poorly represented by those not invested into the whole steampunk alchemy thing.

huge ups on this. I love the idea of machine spirits getting something unique. Not a lot of them out there, and I could see how it would be a more appealing CA with the possibility of a summon. Love it!

This has soul, but if robot dogs are going to stay they would probably do better with a "command" ability. 

 

For example, 

[Command]

To guide an animii companion, a machine spirit must actively command the companion at the cost of their own turn. 

Blah blah blah, animii controller moves up to [2] blocks, spending all of their effort & garumdir energy to command their mecha-pet. Whatever it is that concretely expresses using the summon for more than being a damage sponge.

wat u think was gonna happen posting this within 24 hours? Server needs break from metal beasts and we dont want to encourage CA exclusive summon spam as a core feature.
