Shambling corpses and Demons plenty march through the streets of Veldev; in a cruel twist of fate, for at that time the city of warriors had lapsed its guard. Those few whom had been captured are returned hours later - drained of their blood, but alive. Something accompanies them, briefly - a Crow, mutant and horrid, more akin to a Vulture that leaves behind a singular note before it departs, within a murder of mundane crows.

I remember,

 

You came to my Land, so many years ago. Assailed my walls and overwhelmed me in weakness, but you were not so strong as to catch me, and slay me in a way that matters. You wielded a blade of a thousand eyes, but you could not see the simple Truth before you; you rejected it. You proclaimed you did not know me.

 

Do you know me now, Northman Prince? You saw my nature, then - for you were not Strong enough to slay me, and so I grew sharp in absence. I extend this to your Kin - they live, to grow Strong and Sharp so we may yet return to hone ourselves. 

 

March upon my Land, burn it down - what will it matter, now? I treatise with your very Kin, arm them to fight for me, and I fight with them. I Take land untold, and I prepare it. My domain expands, my Invocation encroaches upon eternity;

 

Fight me, or Flee me - I am summoned so long as War exists, in the blood-stained soil, in the thought of councils saturated in their own ambitions.
