In the wake of two bitter defeats, many would have expected the League of Veletz and its allies to falter, to retreat behind their walls and fortresses. But we did not break so easily. In defiance of adversity, the League of Veletz, the Principality of Stassion, and the Iron Horde rallied once more, binding their strength together with iron resolve. The Coalition, emboldened by their earlier victories, marched into the Westmark seeking to tighten their grip on our lands. They believed the Burgundian spirit was broken. They believed their triumph inevitable. They were wrong.

 

Upon the rolling open fields of the Westmark, we met them. Though they outnumbered us almost three to one, it was not numbers that decided the day — it was will, and the unbreakable spirit of our burgundy-clad people. There, at the Battle of the Westmark, banners snapped in the wind, steel clashed, and the ground itself shook beneath the hooves of a thousand horses.

 

Though this resounding victory didn’t secure the safety of our people — we have secured a legacy. The defense of the Westmark stands as testament to our valor, and by the blood spilled and the sacrifices made, we now lay rightful claim to the Title of Westmark.

 

The Westmark was won not by happenstance or fortune, but by the iron will of those who refused to yield. It is ours by right of victory, by right of blood. The Westmark was painted burgundy by the blood of our enemies. It has been written in steel and sealed by sacrifice — and so it shall remain.
