Rejoice, ye people of Canondom, for the war-trains turn home, and lives tempered by war slowly integrate to normalcy. We the Kingdom of Burgundy are resultant from this conflict; our existence signifies a new era of Man. So let us find ourselves in peace and jubilation, but too remain legion and in great strength - for in this new era we have won this Man we have taken guardianship of shall need to be guarded and cultivated, from the heart of the nation to its furthest recesses.

Many families and estates find themselves vassal to Burgundy, and their titles are a promise of security and prosperity upon their people. So let us show the competency and completeness of our nation, let us represent ourselves, and let His Royal Majesty observe in the splendor of our great retinuse. Thus I the Knight-Commander of the Kingdom of Burgundy do declare the Game of Banners - let us show through it that we are the wardens we must be.

 

The Crown looks on in search of the greatest and mightiest of the realm, warriors who shall join the courts as Royal Knights and peers who shall be dominating forces within the realm to come - but let this also be an occasion for those of greatest leadership and fidelity amongst Canondom to distinguish themselves.

✠ T H E  G A M E ✠

 

Invitations shall reach the hand of all vassals of the realm, and a few special parties from Canondom. Should you wish to represent yourself and your strength you shall fashion a banner of your estate and bring forth the full extent of your retinues to the ruins of Winburgh. When all are assembled, each retinue shall flock to a point within the city or palace of their choice, and free-for-all competition will begin, ‘till only one group remains.

 

Each retinue should designate one of their number as Banner-bearer. They will hold the banner of their retinue and represent the figurehead of their force. Troops are free to leave the city limits, except for the Banner-bearer who must always remain within the walls or palace.

The area in which Banner-bearers must remain.

 

If the Banner-bearer is downed and the banner of a retinue is retrieved by another, then that entire retinue is eliminated. However, if the Banner-bearer remains alive, they can restore all downed members of their team to the game on an interval handled by tournament organizers. The leader who obtains all of the banners and thus eliminates all other teams will be declared the ultimate winner.

The Game of Banners is meant as a showing for the vassals of the realm and other invitees - ultimate victory is not necessarily the goal, but effort and valor shown, along with the effort to make your presence known, will be noted and treasured by the Crown. But indeed the ultimate Bannerlord shall receive the acknowledgement of King Tiberias, recognition of strength and competence from the unifier of Man - prize notwithstanding.

An exhibitionary contingent of Royal Knights will participate, but will be restricted to a very small rally so as not to overtake the Game. They will not possess a banner and will be permanently eliminated upon down.

Simultaneous FFA PVP, any kits allowed, restricted to 2 horsemen per retinue. Extra horses can be brought for the horsemen but the horsemen may not change. Banner-bearers will /hat the banners. No popping except for the Bannermen, we will be reviving downed players - every 10 minutes or so a broadcast will be made that downed players return assuming their team hasn’t lost their Banner-bearer. That said it’s recommended not to bring soulbinds or RP items as pops may accidentally occur due to the chaotic nature of the fight.

Retinues are uncapped, but don’t bring anyone you don’t have RP with, don’t be cringe. Even if you don’t have a big rally you should still come; a free-for-all is chaotic and many things can happen, and in this format playing assassin is enough to beat superior numbers. Even for non-PVPers, underestimation can be an advantage in this respect. We may split up larger and more PVPer-heavy teams if the rallies end up extremely unbalanced, but we will try not to. Additionally smaller rallies may be unified the day of if desired.

There will be a very low leniency for rule breaking in this one, you will just be disqualified and sent to Haense @Haseroth @king_of_salem.
