“I don’t remember much of the mainland—I was so young when I first arrived. My father, sent me to Val’Taynuel to meet Lady Caterina of Athalia, a wealthy Illatian and close friend of our family. Accompanied by my mother and our house levy, I was introduced to Ophelia. From the moment our eyes met, a path began to form—and in time, we were wed upon the isle known as Illatia.

It is there, far from the noise of the world, that our people endured. They did so quietly, faithfully, and patiently.
Now, with this campaign for mayor, I do not simply step forward for myself but for the people of Elizabeth and for the legacy of my own diaspora.” - Niccolò di Rosavena

Confirmed by, Niccolò di Rosavena e Montelliano,

Nell'anno del Signore nostro Dio, 2036

My name is Niccolò di Rosavena, and my family and I have only recently returned to the Imperial Crownlands. A man of Illatia through and through, my love—the passion for civic life and the cultural traditions of different peoples—runs deep.

With my campaign and petition for mayor of Elizabeth, I hope to encourage the people, even if I do not see victory in this election. I seek to inspire a more united, more just Elizabeth. As mayor, I will ensure that all contact and cooperation with the House of Lords, as I am instructed by the Alban Code, is not only upheld but overachieved. I hold the expectation for honor in leadership, and I aim to create space for all people and all cultures within our city.

In this candidacy, I propose laying the foundation of an Elizabeth built on identity and equity, with law and order that benefits the entire city—not just the pockets of the rich.
I envision Elizabeth as a place of learning and progress, with a dream to see her rise as the City of Culture within the Empire. Let us witness the establishment of a Center for the Arts or the creation of an Alban Academy to help our youth surpass their own limits. I am the man—the mayor—who can set the foundation for you, the people, to make that happen.

No matter the outcome of the elections, after such, I will launch the ‘Illatians for Elizabeth’ Foundation—a renewed effort to uplift Illatian culture and community. This initiative will provide practical support, housing assistance, and cultural outreach to ensure that the Illatian community remains visible and vital to Elizabeth’s future, especially in light of the Census Committee’s inactivity since the fall of Placentia. The ‘Illatians for Elizabeth’ Foundation focuses on enriching the Illatian diaspora while also considering all cultural matters of exchange, including those involving the Qalasheen and Hyspian peoples; the foundation’s core belief is that all of mankind should embrace every culture. If one would like to donate to the foundation, please pen Niccolò di Rosavena or Ophelia di Rosavena (@HighLariousKitty)

A vote for Rosavena is a vote for cultural prosperity, just and efficient governance, and the assurance of a bright present and future for Elizabeth.

Illatians For Elizabeth,

Luca Alessandro D'Rosa would run around, telling anybody who would listen:

"Ciao! Have you decided who to vote for for the Alban Mayoral Elections yet?"

"No? Well, let me tell you something...."

Ophelia Lorenza di Rosavena would quietly finish reading the parchment, her fingers brushing the inked signature at the bottom before setting it down with a faint smile.

"You always find the words I cannot."
There would be no grand reply, only a gentle warmth carried in her eyes as she turned to where her husband stood.

"I’m proud of you, amore. Whatever comes of this, you’ve already done what you set out to do and I commend you for that, si."
