Archduchy of Drusco

 

Disseminated among all the Lords of Burgundy

 

Let it be known throughout the lands that the Archduchy of Drusco, in the wake of the sealing of new bonds with the Margravate of Avistra, shall host a grand melee and feast in celebration of unity, valour, and the enduring grace of our shared heritage. By command of His Highness Prince Roger de Rouen, and with the goodwill of the newly sworn Lord and Lady of Avistra, all knights of good name and proven arm are summoned to ride forth and test their mettle on the fields of the Midden, beneath the two banners now raised in harmony. A reward of five hundred minas shall be bestowed upon the champion of the lists, with lesser purses granted to those who show honour and distinction in arms.  For those spectating, the day’s contention shall be met with a revel: meat and mead aplenty, rare fruits from the southern vales, and sweetmeats for the ladies. Let the song of Adelaide of Artois resound through hall and hearth, for she shall perform the Ashern song of Lamenta, that no man may say peace is bought only in silence. Come clad in your finest raiment or your strongest steel, as suits your station, and bear witness to this noble chapter in the realm’s story.
