The wind trogged across the verdant meadows and prosperous towns. It skipped through willowy woods, emaciated by illness of the land, and wove through a forest of great boughs where only stray remnants of light could puncture the rich leafage. The gale passed along the roads and fro; and it came to a lone copse somewhere.

 

A groan, a creak of metal, sighed. An inert, lifeless corpse, with neck strangled in a cinch of a robust chain, swayed to the frolicking breeze. A reek of rot mingled with fresh fragrance that the wind borne upon its invisible arms.. But then the corpse slumped back to poised tranquility. The frivolous wind awayed. 

 

No tale. No sundry letters to friends or foes.

Only silence.
