Tentoa 3161 Share Posted August 9, 2025 OLD REDLINE Spoiler — Major Grafts constitute significant applications of limbs or other large portions of flesh, including arms, legs, shoulders, etc. These should be relatively humanoid in nature and should align with the individual’s fundamental biology. An individual can only have two major grafts applied at once without facing severe bodily repercussions. NEW REDLINE Spoiler — Major Grafts constitute significant applications of limbs or other large portions of flesh, including arms, legs, shoulders, etc. These should be relatively humanoid in nature and should align with the individual’s fundamental biology. Purpose: The two-limb limit made sense before the edit, but no other form of prosthesis has this restriction without benefits that require limitation. The idea that these limbs were parasites that fed off the body's life force as separate entities has gone the way of the dinosaur. While checking other prosthetic lore (specifically Golemancy and Animii), I found that no such restriction was in place on Animii, but Golemancy directly states that the limbs feed on personal anima to fuel themselves, and the buff of being stronger than a normal limb does necessitate this. These limbs are just hairless flesh and blood and have no mechanical advantage beyond that of a normal descendant limb, so there is no need for this weakness from a balance perspective either.
PrimnyaQuorum 4008 Share Posted August 9, 2025 Imo if Bogodan's Clay is considered this horrible abomination thing that somehow proc's soul-altered status to make it weak to aurum [Klones] then Grafts should also be weak to aurum; otherwise its a good change

I still struggle to see how Kloning alters the soul in any way; Calling them abominable doesn't make them have altered souls where they didnt prior, and theyre incompatible with deity magics bc of the whole no soul juice on death, not by virtue of any soul properties. Regardless yea, beyond this amendment.

Regardless yea, beyond this amendment. I think the fact of them being abominable in the eyes of the Aenguldaemons who preside over the afterlives and the respective powers presently in place in the way of deific blessings and other boons is less in that they alter the soul, and moreso in that they are circumventing eventual death and totality by prolonging their lives endlessly through alchemical immortality. It's a little more metaphysical and theological than your typical instance of "abomination" seen in most CAs that also circumvent immortality, although Machine Spirits are a little less abominable in my eyes being that the soul merely occupies a vessel as opposed to soul-transferral between two or more mediums on a more consistent basis. The fact that Aurum harms them even whilst their status as abominations are more theological and metaphysical and "targeted" as opposed to your typical case basically just boils down to LOTC's aenguldaemonic theosophy and state of being regarding these entities labelling them as an abomination, and being that they are tagged as abominations, Aurum harms them, since it harms all of these abomination-sorts. It's a little weird, but it is what it is. +1 for this amendment otherwise.
Islamadon 9163 Share Posted August 13, 2025 This lore has been denied. This proposal went to a vote in amendment chat and did not pass.
