Professors of the Prince’s Institution are compensated in recognition of their time, scholarship, and services to the academic body. Compensation is distributed at the end of each trimester by either the Headmistress or Secretary

Base Payment:
All professors listed on the staff roster shall receive 20 mina per trimester for serving as an active member of faculty.

Class Hosting Bonus:
Professors who host the required two or more classes per trimester with enrolled students will receive an additional 30 mina, bringing the total to 50 mina per trimester.
 

Conditions for Payment:

  • Professors must meet the class hosting requirement (2 classes per trimester) to receive full payment.
  • Professors who fail to host the required classes forfeit the bonus and may forfeit their base payment at the discretion of the Headmistress.
  • To receive payment, professors must submit a report to the Secretary or Headmistress including:
    • Number of classes hosted
    • Number of students in attendance
    • Whether students met their attendance requirements or not

To uphold the standards of the Institution, all professors are expected to:

  • Host a minimum of two classes per trimester for enrolled students.
  • Submit attendance records to the Headmistress or Secretary.
  • Maintain communication with the administration regarding their class content and schedule.
  • Provide advance notice if they are unable to fulfill their duties during a trimester.

It is recommended (but not required) that professors share their lesson plans with the Headmistress and Secretary ahead of time for coordination and quality assurance.

Professional and Personal Relationships between Professors:

As educators and mentors within our community, professors are to be examples for the students, and are naturally held to high standards of conduct both in and outside the classroom. While we recognize that interpersonal conflicts may occasionally arise between professors, it is essential that any personal disputes, drama, or interpersonal conflicts between professors remain entirely outside of school affairs. Our mission is, first and foremost, to foster a safe and focused environment for students. All staff are expected to prioritize student experience and learning above personal matters. Any behavior that may detract from this mission, especially if it spills into classroom environments, faculty meetings or public schools settings, may result in an administrative review or disciplinary action.

Tuition for Children of Faculty:

As per the updated tuition policy and our commitment to supporting our educators and their families, professor's children are entitled to a reduced fee of 4 minae per core class and 2 minae per elective, allowing for a well-rounded academic experience. This policy ensures that the valuable contributions of our professors are not gone unseen and also eases the financial burdens on their families. The Headmistress, overseer of the institution is expected to uphold the following dutie:

  • Oversee all faculty and course operations
  • Aid professors with coordination and student matters
  • Ensure a functioning and fair academic environment
  • Coordinate with the Secretary to ensure proper functioning of the institution
     

The Secretary, trusted aide to the Headmistress is tasked to:

  • Track student enrollment
  • Maintain tuition records
  • Process and track staff payments
  • Coordinate with the Headmistress to ensure proper functioning of the institution

If any member of the Institution’s staff be it a professor, guest lecturer, secretary, or headmistress fails to fulfill their responsibilities without notice or explanation, a meeting of dismissal may be called.

Dismissal Process:

  • Any active staff member may request a dismissal meeting.
  • A case will be presented before their peers.
  • A vote will be held; a majority decision is required to proceed with removal.
