A Prince’s Ascension

To the Musin of Babblebrook, and many esteemed friends,

The beloved King Patchwork "Patches" Runeflower, first of the musin kings of Babblebrook, has declared after many long years of leadership — watching his people grow and now flourish — that it is time to pass the crown to the next generation.

This coming Saturday (27th Sept), his son, Prince Quill Runeflower, shall take upon his father's title and duties in full with a brief ceremony, following which Patches shall enter into a well-deserved retirement.  

As this is the first such ceremony, it is our greatest of hopes that it shall become a tradition, one accompanied by laughter and well wishes. Expect food and drink, and perhaps a song or two. 

Festivities begin at mid day (noon EST/5pm BST). Wear your brightest colors, and bring with you your laughter.

Additionally, this letter has been posted on the door of King Patches Runeflower's residence outside of the dwarven encampment on the Isles of Kaldurr, inviting all who see to attend.

At the request of Prince Quill Runeflower, a lifelong scholar in his own right, an invitation has also been sent to the NGS, should any of their scholars wish to be present for the brief ceremony.
