HEED, ALL LEAL SONS OF HOREN

For over two millennia, man has been ordering dates from the inception of our race, and during the inter-imperium, many attempted to revise calendars for their own vanity. However, We find there have been errors within the record-keeping of time and, more notably, the proliferation of uncanonical reverence for the false prophet, Sigismund the Adulterer. Therefore, it is by Our imperial writ that the Empire of Man shall no longer follow or heed the Old Calendar.

Instead, the Empire of Man shall follow the newly devised Tiberian Calendar. This calendar shall divide our eras into the Age of Prophets (AP), beginning with the inception of our race and ending in 1427 AP, and the Age of Ascension, beginning with the ascension of the last prophet, the Exalted Godfrey, into the Seven Skies and continuing to this day - marked by the Six Hundred and Twenty Third year by this decree.

All subjects of the Empire of Man are hereby instructed to abide by the Tiberian Calendar forthwith, unless given an extraordinary writ by the Emperor of Man.

The Tiberian Calendar can be located at: HERE

Sir Daris Verethi consulted the Imperial Calendar Reform Act of 1679. "I think the other guy made more sense," he confided to his shipmate, Sir Helsuren, after reading both decrees.

Despite the questionable theopolitical assertion involved in the calendar revision, Father Martin nonetheless undergoes the process of adopting the new calendar and familiarising himself with the year conversions for documents that may need referencing in future discussions.

Spoiler

Very nice to have a good calendar alternative avoiding the 2000s that makes RP sense instead of shoehorned like the Second Age calendar was. Also, the Tiberian Calendar spreadsheet is very beautiful. Perfection.

Helsuren shrugged, his preferred pre-Wilven 8-month calendar having lost any synch with either the Imperial or Common lifetimes ago.

The idea of fasting for a full month out of every year was certainly a bizarre one, however. Were harvests really so bleak on the mainland?
