Need help? Here’s how to get a mod’s attention!

Whether you’re stuck in a block, dealing with an issue, or just have a question about the rules– submitting a modreq is the quickest way to get support from the moderation staff team. Following this guide will aid the moderation team in better managing situations, while helping YOU get faster and more efficient responses.

This guide may be updated with relevant information at any time.

HOW TO MODREQ

Use the command:

/modreq [a clear and concise description of your issue]

Good example:

/modreq I fell through the floor and can’t SS out.

/modreq [conflict] I am being powergamed in a CRP fight, can a moderator come oversee it?

Bad example:

/modreq help pls

This is too vague, doesn’t give any context or relevant info, and makes it harder and slower for staff to help.

To cancel a modreq:

/done [modreq #]

If you don't know your modreq # you can check by using the command: /check

TIPS FOR BETTER MODREQS:

  • Be concise but clear. Tell us what’s going on and what you need.
  • If you’re standing at the location of the issue when you submit the modreq — we can teleport to the location where the ticket was made.
  • Don’t spam requests. One modreq is enough. Please be patient with us — we see it. We typically go in order and are sometimes helping others.
  • Adding your discord to your modreq may make it easier for moderation to contact you if you are not online.
  • Some modreqs require proof of Region Owner (RO) permission. This can be given by adding the link to the screenshot in your modreq, or by having it ready to be sent to the moderator who claims your ticket.
  • You can see who the PRO and ROs of a region are by using the command /rginfo [rg name]. If you don’t know the name of the region, using just /rginfo will show you. (You can also click the region in your chat after typing/rg info).

DO YOU NEED TO MODREQ?

Use a modreq for things like:

  • Rulebreaking (metagaming, powergaming, grief, etc.)
  • Conflict needing OOC moderation
  • WorldEdit or regioning support
  • Heists or certain theft situations
  • Forum post requests or cleanups
  • Limited Creative (LC) requests

BEFORE YOU MODREQ!

Some things are handled by automated plugins or other teams:

  • Stacking items? Use /stack (Some items do not apply)
  • Colored bottles? Use /color [color] (Pick from the non-VIP emote colors or do RGB)
  • Adding/removing region members? Ask your nation/settlement leaders.
  • In-character drama or problems? Consult the rules– If it is not rule-breaking, settle it in RP.
  • For a list of extra commands, here is a post made by @mika1278 HERE.

Some issues are not handled by the Moderation Team — we’ve got other specialized teams to help with specific stuff. Here’s where to direct those types of requests:

  • Tech issues or bugs: Use /treq to contact the Tech Team for lost inventories, weird glitches, plugin errors, or anything that seems broken or not working right.
  • Lore questions or item signing: Use /sreq to get in touch with the Story Team if you need lore clarifications or help with signing items.
  • Community-focused concerns: Use /creq for things like event support, player conduct questions, whitelisting an alt, or community initiatives — this goes to the Community Team.

If you're ever unsure who should handle something, it's totally fine to ask in a modreq — we’ll redirect you if needed.

WHEN TO REPORT INSTEAD OF MODREQ

Sometimes, it's better to make a forum report instead of submitting a modreq — especially when:

  • The issue happened earlier and is no longer ongoing.
  • You have screenshots, logs, or evidence to include.
  • You need a decision that may take time (like bans, serious accusations, etc.).
  • The person involved is offline and the situation can’t be addressed live.
  • You were not directly involved, but witnessed a rulebreak and want to document it properly.

Public reports can be submitted HERE.

Private reports can be submitted HERE.

Here is what the Mod Team DOES handle– and how to make the right kind of modreq.

CONFLICTS:

Mods handle all OOC rulebreaking in conflicts– Metagaming, powergaming, unfair crp, no-RP killing, and raid issues.

Any issues regarding the redlines of a CA/MA should be directed to the Story Team using /sreq.

Modreq if:

  • You’re downed without proper RP
  • Someone’s using info their character shouldn’t know
  • CRP rules are not being followed.

Example: /modreq [Conflict] I was attacked and downed without RP.

Note: If the issue happened earlier or logs need to be referred to, consider making a forum report instead.

HEISTS & PETTY THEFT

Petty theft and Heists both require moderation involvement to make sure they’re carried out properly and within the rules.

For petty theft, it is recommended to always submit a modreq at the start, rather than directly at the chest, so that we have optimal time to help you out. Breaking doors/windows is not considered theft, however, a moderator needs to be present to validate the theft when you reach the targets.

A modreq MUST be submitted prior to a Heist, and cannot commence without moderation oversight. Refer to Heists for more information.

Examples:

/modreq [Heist] we would like to heist [Location] with [Name, Name, and Name]. My discord is xyz to set this up.

/modreq [Petty Theft] Need mod assistance at my location for petty theft.

REGIONS & WORLDEDIT

Moderation can help with the creation of sub-regions and small WorldEdit jobs. The PRO of a region should typically be the one making the modreq.

When it comes to creating these things, your modreq should include:

  • Coordinates for where NPCs should be placed or builds should be moved.
  • Name of the region
  • Where mina should be taken from if you are offline.

Examples:

/modreq [Regioning] I need a subregion in the bounds of [x,y,z] and [x,y,z] under Burgundy with the name Nation_Vassal_Name

/modreq [WorldEdit] I need to move this ship from here to [x,y,z] Here is a screenshot of PRO/RO permission: [ screenshot link].

REGION MAINTENANCE:

PROs can submit Region Maintenance tickets to request new features or upkeep for their settlement. These include:

  • Aviaries
  • Banks
  • Rally Bells
  • Soulstone Pillars
  • Region greetings, flags, or evictions.

Examples:

/modreq [Aviary] Please place an aviary at [x,y,z]. You can use the skin of [so and so] for the NPC.

/modreq [Rg Greeting] Please make the greeting for [region name] ‘Barony of Pooperton’ in the color gold. The subgreeting can be ‘Home of the Peefolk’.

LIMITED CREATIVE (LC)

Commonly, modreqs are created for a Limited Creative (LC) region to be made. LC is a limited access to creative mode in exchange for mina to decorate, paste in builds, or set up events sites. To request an LC, you MUST have permission from an RO. For your ticket to be picked up and completed quickly include ALL of the following information:

  • Coordinates of the region’s opposite corners (to define the exact build area).
    • NOTE: Regions will be automatically expanded vertically. If there are structures above or below that need to be avoided, please put that in the modreq!
  • Amount of mina for the deposit (minimum 50 mina).
    • NOTE: Moderation can withdraw mina from a persona’s bank; we cannot take mina directly from the persona themselves. If you are not present when the LC req is picked up, ascertain that the necessary amount of mina are properly stored within your persona's bank balance.
  • Screenshot showing Region Owner (RO) permission for the project.

Examples:

/modreq [LC] Need an LC set up. Corners are x,y,z to x,y,z. 50 mina can be taken from my bank. [Link to screenshot]

/modreq [LC] Can I have an LC set up please! Over the entirety of empire_vassal_name. Please take 300 mina from my persona bank. Dm me on discord @discordtag for screenshot of permission.

Please refer to this post on LCs for a full guide: HERE

FORUMS

Mods also help with handling things on the forums like:

  • Hiding posts
  • Creating new subforums (by request of Nation Leader)
  • Removing inappropriate or spam content.

Example:

/modreq [Forums] Can I get a subforum under [Section] named [Name]? I’m the PRO.

Final Tips

If you are ever unsure if a mod req is appropriate, do not hesitate to ask. Be respectful. We’re here to help, and a kind message goes a long way.

Mods can only act on issues they have proof or logs for — be as clear as possible when describing what happened. Give as much information to help us search through logs.
